I love Um Jammer Lammy and playing this with the guitar controller would definitely make for a new and interesting experience!
My desire to play it with these controllers is immense, but I'll settle for just being able to play it on MAME some day. I wish you all the best with the rest of the documentation and the dumping!

Glad to hear it left an impression! We still have that racing game, but probably not since we didn’t go far into the prototyping stage. We ended up cutting that project short to do Neon FM, which I did sneak in as a cameo in the first UJL video 👀

If I'd had to make predictions for 2023, it would have been a long time before I'd come up with "fully functional cabinet of legendarily lost Japanese-only arcade version of 1999 cult classic Um Jammer Lammy rediscovered in the possession of veteran British TV personality Jonathan Ross"

If the arcade game ever did see a release internationally, this would seem like the type of arcade game to be in a Chuck E Cheese’s.
@SpongeyBubby CEC’s demographic is very young kids now (ages 4-12) so they definitely wouldn’t carry it even if it was available
@SpongeyBubby if the game were somehow to get a rerelease, the only franchise arcade I could see carrying it is Round One

Can you dump a mame rom so I can play it on mame, both zip file and chd? Namco system 12 emulation on MAME is pretty good. The developers will probably add support for it in update 0.258 or 0.259, or beyond. the chd file can be named ujl-a.chd and the rom name can be called ujln.
Dump is scheduled for later this year, but I’m not the one doing it

I just downloaded the arcade version of this game and I have no clue how to run it? So downloading it is pointless!
Read the description on the download-it’s mostly just audio files. The arcade game data is still undumped and is on the board ROMs, but we have a date scheduled for that now.

All the cool mode / fever footage we recorded was in the Stage 1 video. We only had 3 days with the machine and spent about half that time fixing it. The machine’s in England and I’m in America, so we can’t record more.
