A black and white American Akita lovely dog Super smart recognized that her reflection wasn't another dog in minutes,(a quality anthropologists used to only attribute to primates),and could look at how a human opens a gate moving the latch and copy it .Less evolved away from proto-dog (an extinct variety of wolf) ,these have more of their cognition and instinct intact, and will not herd,point at or just retrieve pray,They will overwhelm their pack leader with affection,but you need to keep them from bringing you a dead your dead cat for you to prepare, and they will not take sh$#@ from anyone trying to break in and hurt you. as they are smart dogs.

hi, I loved the video. fantastic training. I cant seem to get my 4 month akita-inu puppy to pay attension to me and look me in the eyes. Is the essential for every training. please help me. message me or reply to comment. thanks ;)
Hi! Mine is the same age and she learns pretty fast. I taught her first the "listen" word. Just give him/her a treat when you get the look in the eyes. :) so training isn't a problem for us but she bites pretty bad and I don't know how to stop this.

Okay at first I was like “this dog is so cute and lazy” and then you reward them and I was like “is this laziness training??” I realize now it’s probably training against distractions, but I really imagined for a hot minute that you were training this dog to be lazy.
