Thank you for taking me to my first car auction as well. It was an eye opener and great experience...even though it was online, still dig it!🤑. I always look forward to your content, keep it coming.
Capetown so different then Johannesburg. In Jozi people wait for that price to go down before they bid lol.. Capetown don't play they bid from the first bid price.
Yes but Cape Town don't belong to South Africans anymore. It's become the next "little Monaco" where foreigners are taking over. Looking at the bidding it would be deemed that it will most probably be a foreigner or a local dealer thinking in "currency". Needless, we can't afford housing or cope with living expenses anymore. Our beautiful city has been sold out to foreign currency and us locals are being cramped into a corner. Sad to feel this 😢
thank you so much for putting the prices on top.. really appreciate it.. they speak so fast.. and this is the best way to get into cars, buy an old car, spend a bit, but dont get into loans.. then fix the car as you can.
That's why we should always do our homework, I would never buy a high mileage car at an auction with such ridiculous prices..it's mostly car dealership agents who are looking to buy and sell.
Thank you for giving us a chance to experience a live auction. When you consider all the costs and the mileage, the savings aren't that much. Question; why does the auctioneer keep raising the price if there are no takers?
thanks for sharing brother. ive been here its very good. i lost a bid because they were asking alot for a polo with very high mileage so i walked away lol. one thing i think they forgot to mention is the registration fee of R8k is also taken off price.
The price is called out by the guy with the mic. If you agree to a new price, you raise your hand. Then he increases it to see if someone will raise their hand. After 3 chances of no new hands, you win the bid.
Hey car guy , i wanted to ask firstly what would be VAT and also Isn’t that these cars are abit less expensive cars of high mileage and also can a person from zimbabwe come buy?
Non SA residence can also buy from these auctions, only need your Passport and Traffic Register licence. The VAT is simply a type of tax levied on goods bought or sold and I'm not too sure how auctions come up with their prices.
Simple put, the majority of vehicles sold at auction are melons. Mostly accidentally damaged and were never recorded as rebuild (code 3). The other half is Mostly hidden mechanical defects. So if you're not a mechanic or have experience in inspecting cars, you're as good as screwed. Even the cars that qualify for finance are hit and miss... I have had to return a number of cars to auction house because of dodge cover ups. So better to buy through the bank makes easy to return
Jesus christ that Audi A4 and that polo vivo comfortline were by far the best for me with a budget of R150k m pretty sure I'd have gotten the Polo... Where's this place around Cpt
Yoh bro we need more of these kinda of videos and explanation of how much to bring and etc. Also I would love if you could do a video about the online auction, thanks for this bro. @MontanaThePbn Port Eli

😂😂that's what I notice as well
😂😂😂 I think these people would buy all the JHB auction cars
Jozi cars also looks much more appealing, newer models and low mileage cars. Hope capetown will catch up soon.
Cape town cars are probably finished and cheaper

They should put an X next to price if vehicle not sold.
That's how I roll with cars
This channel is growing from strength to strength. Keep up the good work.
The mileage of these cars are so high and expensive.

Or refunded if you didn’t buy a vehicle
One of the cars has an oil leak, I noticed it after the Kia Rio moved
See me no more going to a car dealership to buy a car
They lie alot at auction though
That 1st Polo is reasonable for that price. 16k

How do you bid? 😮 you raise your hand or you write your price down then you raise it ?

They give each a number if you bid you rise up tht number

Majority of them are old
What is required for you to enter the show room?
If you only a spectator, nothing. If you bidding, you need your ID, Drivers licence, proof of deposit.
@@carguy7797 Thanks

I’m of these cars😭😭 are scary, is worth it to buy them?
Just a question is vat included in the bid price
No, Vat will be added afterwards.
Why are some sold subject to approval.?

Bro the Ford Ranger was sold for 120k
Does a buyer even know what's broken/damaged on the car? or we just buying blindly?
It's recommended to have a mechanic with you when viewing, especially if you are not that clued up with cars like myself.
Why is Cape Town so Cheaper than Joburg
Pronounced Orc-Shin!
Not Orc-Sin
