Don't make your horse think it is a pack horse with a sack of potatoes up there shifting and squirreling around. Well Richard, how many people know their own body well enough to realize what they are doing up there matters to the horse. I have to apologize to the horse every time I get on one because of this. I am guilty of dulling them up I am afraid. Still learning so much.

Nite Fox my father used to say, “ you ride like a sack of potatoes”...he had spent his teen years in the 7th Cavalry, prior to WW2
That's why we learn how to ride though. As we practise we become more aware of our bodies, more precise and subtle with our aids, more balanced etc. But we have to start somewhere.
This was so beauty I can see where I need to improve and it's no joke.
