It doesn't matter what the public say in surveys, it is officaly known on Goggle, Wikipedia , the News Media and by the UK Government that the City of Birmingham is the Second City or Second Largest City due to it's population size of 1.5 million Citizens, it area of 150 sq mies in area and the largest City Council in the UK. the 3rd largest City is Glasgow, 4th the City of Liverpool, 5th The City of Bristol and 6th the City of Manchester with a population of 580,000 and an area of 58 sq miles. Don't even mention Greater Manchester as it is not a City but a Metropolitan County Council like the West Midlands and Merseyside so why mention this. All you have to do is Google the UK's largest Cities by population size and the closest to Birmingham's populaion is Glasgow with arround 800,000 citizens
