That fight was so tense it made me shiver as if I was there in the game, I really hope MC and Sayori get better and rekindle there friendship and I think everyone’s starting to catch on with Monika, I wonder how they’ll react
Now that I have seen the full video, I can say with certainty that this Remake is no disappointment. MC and Sayori's argument is too strong, it even makes you feel sorry for them. ¡Thank you so much 12gizguy6!
This was probably the moment I was most waiting for you to get to. My heart sank when I came across this scene in the remake, and I wanted to keep reading on because of how hard it hit me.
my aunt and grandma used to argue like this all the time, and this mod was extremely and almost eerily accurate to how they would argue. now im truly interested
I like this episode because it not only shows MC and Sayori finally talking about how they are lying (albeit in a heated manner) and Monika's flashback to when she still acted like a good friend to Sayori
it actually pisses me off a little how quickly sayori turned this on MC. He has literally every reason to be as worried as he is now. If she's rejected one form of help, what does that mean for the rest of the support she's supposedly receiving? Hell, one of the terms in that promise they made was that sayori keep regularly taking the medicine, so she broke that promise too. She asks him if he's there because he feels he has to be, then ends up giving him every fuckign reason to ACTUALLY feel that way by refusing the help she's getting.
She has SEVERE depression ofc she’s gonna be irrational but her thought process is surprisingly grounded here. She sees the one guy that seemed to be flat out ignoring her damn near all the sudden get super close with her only after she tried to off herself. Now she’s seeing him everyday and with every day that passes, his hair seems more and more messy, his clothes more disshoveled, and his grades slowly falling. She feels incredibly guilty now bc she feels this guy just dropped his entire life because he feels like her feeling bad is his fault. So to “punish” herself she’s not taking any meds that would make her feel better. She feels like she deserves to suffer for what she’s putting him through. But she won’t hurt herself again bc that would really mess him up. Now he finds out she’s not been trying to get better and just called her “a pain in the ass”. Now she thinks this dude now HATES her no matter how much he says otherwise. It’s not rational at all but I can see where her mind is leading her and it’s not really her fault
@@cringemeat9430 well yeah of course all of that is true, but my issue is that she turned it on him. Like, got mad at him for "breaking a promise" as if the only reason he did so wasn't because she broke it first. It makes sense how she feels but the way the argument is handled frames MC as though he did something wrong, especially with how the argument closes. Sayori has every right to feel the way she does but that was inexcusable levels of irrational behavior as it was ultimately her dismissing the fact she broke their end of the agreement first and pinning the blame on MC so she could punish herself for making him worry.
@@spookytimejunction well the MC broke their promise first by not honoring it really to begin with. He really had no intention of keep himself healthy and was 100% willing to let his life go to shit for sayori bc of his own guilt which he straight up admits later. He even admits when his first confession to her was only because she told him about her depression and didn’t know how to respond. You’re right that it’s not really his fault that she decided to stop medicating and she’s doing it to herself. But again she legit cannot stop herself. I’ve had an ex who has (never tried suicide but self harmed regularly thank GOD she stopped) explained it to me like how even though they love and trust you, their brain will overwrite that shit everytime and immediately go with the worst possible scenario as the trust. You say “I love you” they hear “I’m putting up with you right now because I feel bad”
@@cringemeat9430 you're kind of missing the point though yes, how sayori feels is something i understand. It's not her fault and that fine. I just have issue with her literally flipping this on MC especially considering what the circumstances were. Like, yeah, you could argue he had no intentions of keeping his end of the deal regardless but even if that were the case, stumbling upon an empty pill bottle that was clearly dumped down the toilet isn't something you can just ignore and is argue the most egregious of offenders in this situation. Ultimately, the way this situation was set up makes it feel like MC wouldn't have won in this situation regardless of if he kept his end of the deal. You said it yourself, those with depression have habits of gaslighting themselves into believing whatever that half of them tells them, so even if MC genuinely did start keeping himself together and trusting her it wouldn't have changed anything and sayori would still not be taking her antidepressants. MC was absolutely justified in how he felt in this situation, but was quickly met with a "you broke your promise by bringing up my meds" in response to him finding out she literally never took them in the first place. It's unfair on MC how this argument is done because, again, there was no winning in this situation. He'd have been framed as the one in the wrong regardless and the only alternative was to straight up ignore evidence that sayori is refusing to receive help

i dont think taking meds automatically means you aren't getting help. not all people are the same, so not all depression has to receive the same treatment. sometimes, people CAN overcome their depression without antidepressants, so i don't see why MC is acting like this signifies that Sayori is not taking care of herself and is irresponsible. there is more than one way to treat a problem personally, i've always been in the camp in that its better to confront a problem head-on (and as Sayori herself said, the first step to doing that is acknowledging the problem rather than ignoring it and pretending nothing is wrong) than to suppress it with meds. it only prolongs the inevitable
Nevermind I found it - "Sun May Shine", idk if its original or has another composer it's not credited on the remake OST, which is why I had such a hard time.
