I did find a way to play the game without the wanted level. (I assume this was found out a year or two ago) Just replay a mission and don't do the objective. Peter Parker will every 5 or so minutes remind you of the mission and you can't do anything but explore and web sling. But it's better than getting chased by drones

I'd love too see a new spider man game were the story is good as you become spider man you advance as him whilst playing as if it is like a real person learning how to use your powers better over time good physics momentum how fare your webs can go and 3 chapters one for ever ORIGINAL spider man and side missions which if you don't do the city will loose faith in you over time possible affecting the story line of how people see you so if you don't do many but at least do some than the city will respect you as well as giving you more confidence making you advance easier by more health or how many webs you can let go but if you don't than the city will be un sportive causing you too lose faith causing your skills too drop and possible be able to stop side missions all together but it'll make you earn different abilities by completing over missions this will make missions harder. (Just a suggestion)

The thing is that you don't have control over when he does flips and tricks, in Spider-Man 2 you had complete control over what he did. It just means that you had more interaction with Spider-Man 2 and that made it fun, rather than having all of it done automatically like in this game.

Why would you complain about the added side missions ?! I would instead complain about the lack of realism when it comes to map size. NYC has 5 boroughs, yet this title only showcases a meager 1 borough (Manhattan) and its have the size of the real island.
Coming back to this four years later, absolutely shocking that this and Insomiac's Spider-Man were made for the same system.
