Forgot to say it, but thank you for being so thorough in your TH-cam vids--I've learned a lot, and as I am rewatching and watching all of the new ones I keep getting reminded of the ins-and-outs, and refining my trading. THANKS!
Davis - love you videos and thank you for graciously sharing your knowledge- question how do you avoid having a big loss that could potentially wipeout many wins? That old saying “it only takes one bad apple”. Thx
Hi Davis, thanks so much for this wonderful video! It really clarifies why 45 and 21 DTE are the optimal entry and exit points for 'non-slow' options strategies. Do you have any relevant statistics for 'slow' strategies like calendars, ratio spreads, and others?
HI Davis, do you have a way to hedge your trades in general in case a black swan event happens? or you just limit your risk in every trade? do you have a series of trades with same strategy , for example open a similar trade every week or just when you have specific conditions like Stoch oversold and close to a support / resistance level? thank you!!
Great video, thank you Davis! What do you normally use to keep track of your trades? Would you use what the broker provides or a separated tool (e.g. spreadsheets 😅). It would be great if you could share your experience on that are. Cheers
Quite interesting. As most traders know the chart of exponential drop at 30 days to expiration. Goes against “logic” that time decay works better and better the closer to expiration. Gonna go look at 45 DTE and start seeing for myself
Hey Davis, really good video as always, thanks for that! Can you do a video for margin account vs cash? What does buying power mean etc.? I switched to a margin account and i think all these infos could be really helpful for alot of people. Thanks again, always happy to watch your videos
Great video Do have a question on expected move if I choose a 45 DTE But close out position at 21 DTE Whats your thought on using the expected move with a 30 DTE My thought is always closing out at 21 DTE what not us the 30 DTE expected move
Possible depending on the strategy & situation. Hey David, I want to start by saying thank you so much for the knowledge you provide! Where can I find all of those studies I can’t seem to find there results anywhere online. Thanks!
nice. can you also do 1 video for put ratio spread? as you mention that these are long term options, but what is the max loss you would deal with before exiting at 21DTE or near towards expiry? a video on options that have infinite max loss would be good
I've been using the "close at 50% of credit, or at 21 DTE, whichever comes first" Is there any data on how that performs compared to just holding to 21 DTE no matter what?
How’s it going Davis been watching your vids for a few weeks now and I’m gonna get risky. I have a 42 DTE butterfly spread on $SPY max profit of $38k 😂 with like 2000 risked on the trade. Strike of $580 I’ll let you know how it goes
Davis, how to you feel about trading spreads on weekly options? I have been profitable trading them but I have to admit its a little stressful at times.

Thank you, Davis.
When would you advise to exit Put Ratio Spreads and Broken Wing Butterflies instead of 21DTE?
Thanks Davis! So the 45DTE to 21DTE guideline wouldn’t really apply if you trade primarily covered calls and primarily don’t want to get assigned?
Hi Davis, you are the best TH-cam tutors for options trading provide clear, educational, and often step-by-step content. thanks!
Thanks 😊

Nice video and great insight
Thanks 😊
Excellent

As always, awesome video!

Hi Davis, this apply to the short call in the PMCC considering that you don’t want to be assigned?

You're welcome! And thanks for the suggestion. Will consider creating a video on that.

Awesome videos of yours bro..
Gives lot of confidence in long term trading.

So would you say the p/l volatility beyond the 21dte is the main reason for these findings?
Thank you

Hi Davis thanks for the video.
May i ask if rolling at dte21 for a new dte45 makes sense?

Hey Davis ... Do you avoid holding options during earnings release dates?
What's the entry criteria for reach strategy? 45 DTE & what ??? ATM ITM OTM or a specific Delta? Is it always 13 Delta?
May I please ask, if I have a losing trade BEFORE I have reached 21 DTE, do I stick with the losing trade until 21 DTE is reached?
Hi Davis - would you suggest the 45 and 21 DTE as well for those that simply go long calls and puts?
Thanks!
For single long options see this: th-cam.com/video/9tnElYWzj7s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IXZo1HvxEpaFHxXE
Hi, where r u from?
Is this for puts or calls?
Both.

Yup, have shown them in a few of my other videos. You can also go directly to tastytrade site to see them.
I think the first condition IS that the option should be an european option because WE could not exit an european option berfore the expiration date
If your long wing is 13 delta, what is your short strike?

A tremedous discovery,...can change a loser into a winner if you don't panic out...
