    This is the first video I’ve watched from Green and Machines. I had to subscribe. Not only did he thoroughly show a breakthrough idea for molders, but his personality made the video very fun to watch.

    You're supposed to release the parts right after pouring while the aluminum is hot. Otherwise, it shrinks to the mold and not only is harder to get off, but you create shrink tearing and shrink stresses in the part. You should also be using a release agent. The mold should be hot before pouring.

      Interesting and very helpful. I'm new to home die casting. What kind of releasing agent(s) would you like to suggest if i may ask??

    • @onsecondthought4174
      @onsecondthought4174 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@silverseven5283 You need to do your own research into this and there are many websites dedicated to this topic. There are many differing types of release agents available for this type of die casting. You simply need to study and research on your own. 🤔🧐👌💯

    Excellent video, interesting project. This is a short presentation, but well explained and detailled. Improvements, of course, would be necessary but you have here a good start. It gave me inspiration for some of my futur projects. Thanks.

    Dude I appreciate your hard work your machine is quite good for fast production you just to put a electrical or machenical moving padta for ejection and you must apply die coat or some realising agents on the surface of your Mold for a better and hazel free ejection thank you and after all your machine is very good

    Recommend you drill through a small hole for air to leak out of dowel holes whenever possible. As long as it does in effect anything else. Makes disassembly easier for tight tolerances.

    you need to coat your moul with diecoat..., also donot let the aluminium cool in the moul, it will contract and bind.. you must also heat the mould up before casting.. . mould should be hot when aluminium goes in.. if these two things are done it will cast smoothly and fall free from the die.. you cast it then without less than a minute you crack the mould and take the aluminium out.

    Hello . Would a permanent mold be suitable for copper casting? very small castings

    • @greensnmachines
      @greensnmachines  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure, I usually only hear of it used for aluminum or zinc most of the time. Copper might be too hot and erode the mold prematurely.

    spray the mold with mold release or black it with an oxy torch or choked propane torch and the part wont stick

  • @wayneacaron8744

    Brother it seems to me that your low knowledge about die casting is costing you alot. Please read about die casting releasing agents like graphite powder mixed with sodium silicate. Its impossible to do it the way you do
