Just so you know, Warrick Dunn’s charity, “Homes for the Holidays”, helped Deshaun Watson (Houston Texans QB) and his mother get a home when Watson was a child.

Yes!! Warrick Dunn is one of the greatest men to play the game. His charity work & impact on lives is admirable. Will never forgive Jon Gruden for letting him leave the Bucs in the SB season. Hope Watson gets through this mess that’s going on in April 2021.

@@agoo7581 I always liked Watson & whatever sexual weaknesses he has there’s also a dark side to unlicensed women doing massage ads on IG. Whatever happened, finding the truth is most important. Whatever that truth may be. Some of these unlicensed women imply that they are offering sexual massage services by the amount they charge & certain key words. So man go into those situations thinking those specific women have already consented much like prostitution. But some of these women who do that are actually hustlers who just give a simple massage at three times the rate and send the man on his way. When that’s the case it leads to friction between both parties. I don’t know if that happened and song or any of these cases but again whatever the truth is and whether it’s good or bad for Deshaun Watson the truth is what is most important here.

Barry Sanders left because as he said, " He no longer got from playing the game the feeling he once did and wanted to do other things that gave him a sense of fulfilment, spend time with his family." When asked how he could just walk away with more seasons left in him and add to his already legendary accomplishment and cement his NFL legacy and earn more money? he responded, "I am financially secure, my family need not ever worry about money, he has his health and he doesn't need the game nor did he miss not playing" Funny how nobody could grasp the fact that the man they were looking at did not need the fame, desire more money , more records. The man had everything that was important already. It really says a lot about our culture and societal way of viewing ourselves and what we think is important or would make our life happier., That so many people can't understand that things wealth or fame can buy can only make you comfortable, they can not buy the very things one's soul needs to find true happiness. Corny, maybe, but the man is well centered and knows who he is and what he has and what is most important. Funny, all these years later, sport world is still talking about him and what he did, seems his legend in NFL and sport history is already preserved in stone.

    • @BrottenGuy
      @BrottenGuy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lukewilloughby7564 Yeah, that’s a good call.
I’d say it’s debatable, in the less successful accomplishments, buuut…Mongo just wasn’t as good overall. Lol! Have you seen the Twitter account that’s called something like “That’s our boy Mongo”? It’s HILARIOUS! A bunch of quick clips of him with, what Cornette calls, “Happy Feet” & shit.
It could be debated, had he had more talent, his success was just as good or close simply due to the era he was in & being a part of the 4 Horsemen for so long, in high profile feuds, & carrying the US Title for so long after Goldberg relinquished it.
If that makes any sense. Ernie is just an all-time legend.
Look up the riot he helped start, in a way, in Cleveland, with Ox Baker.
Ladd was actually the FACE, in the angle. Ox had that dreaded Heart Punch (that one Mr. Mark Calaway later used, as Mean Mark Callous, in WCW). Idk if you know the story. But, TWO different guys DIED, of HEART issues no less, after feuds with Ox. They were unrelated. But, in kayfabe, they intelligently USED that, to get Ox over, as a deadly Heel. He already had that look & demeanor, about him. On promos, he’d say, “TWO Men have died, after I laid them out with my Heart Punch!”
Anyway…back in the day, Ox & Ernie had a heated feud. One night, after a match, Ox attacked Big Cat. Ox’s parented (can’t recall who it was), held Ladd whole Ox gave him the heart punch. Ladd sold it BEAUTIFULLY twitching on the ground and shit. Well, Ox have him two more.
The crowd got HOT, in Cleveland, son! I mean…just RABID!
So, Ernie looked up at Ox, in that accent that both Bruce Prichard & Cornette can both emulate greatly, & said (this is coming from Baker mind you), “Gomme one more, Oxy!” Ox was questioning it, saying, “They’re gonna KILL me!”
      “Gimme one more..!”
So, Ox did. Cored got even MORE insane.
      “One more Oxy! One more..”
      Ox did it AGAIN.
By THAT point, fans were literally jumping guard rails & trying to get into the ring. Ox and his partner LITERALLY had to RUN through the crowd to the bed of the arena where the Hockey goal would be, & had to JUMP the hockey wall, to get away & to the safety of the back/locker room! It’s GREAT!
I bring all of this up to say…it GOT like that bc of ERNIE! For one, yeah…he told Ox to do it again…TWICE (may have even been THREE times. Lol! Ox gave him like 5 or 6 Heart Punches. And again…this is AFTER those two guys died already!)…but, it was Cat’s selling that REALLY drove it home. He sold it so well, it LOOKED like he was REALLY dying! The crowd believed they were saving Ernie Ladd’s LIFE!
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend finding it. It’s on TH-cam.
Just search something like “Ox Baker Ernie Ladd Cleveland Riot”

@@lukewilloughby7564 Ahmed Johnson was another one, who took the same career path.
Goldberg did, as well, to a degree. And so did Lex Luger.
Oh! And Ron Simmons..one of my all-time favorites! First Black World Heavyweight Champion! I watched that match live. Even being a big mark for Big Van Vader (another of my all-time favorites), I marked out SO hard, at 12-years old, watching Ron win that title.

@@lukewilloughby7564 Haha! That would’ve been great!!! Especially PrimeTime, kn the stick! Lol! Maybe they could’ve been a tag team…both being dual-sports stars (and both in Football & Baseball).
You’re right that I pales know comparison. But, honestly…it could be argued Mongo had a better career than Ahmed. Ahmed only won the IC Title for a short minute. Mongo had the US Title longer & was in the 4 Horsemen….now that I think about it. Haha!
      The rest, though…? Naw. Haha!
Brock played for the Vikings for one season (if he made it that far), but that was the only year he EVER played football. He didn’t play as a kid, in high school, or college, at all.
But, he didn’t do that, until AFTER WWE. When he had his last lauded match at Mania, against Goldberg, that’s what he was leaving to do. So, he didn’t COME FROM football to pro wrestling. It was the opposite.

How could Dave Meggett not even get honorable mention? The 5 foot 7 inch playmaker best known for returning kicks was certainly a favorite of Bill Parcells who employed him in all his coaching stops. Yes, he is serving a long prison sentence for criminal issues but you can't deny his impact on the gridiron.

Barry Sanders IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST RUNNING BACK TO EVER PLAY THE GAME PERIOD!!! It is such a shame that he was stuck with the Lions AND THEY WERE FUCJING TERRIBLE!! He had NO HELP if he could of just played for even a DECENT TEAM there would NOT EVEN BE A DEBATE because he would of put up stats that we will NEVER KNOW and its a shame!!! I mean if you look at almost ANY Barry Sanders highlight reels he is making people miss before he even gets to the line of scrimmage!! Could you imagine what he could of done with some DECENT LINEMEN OR THE THREAT OF A GOOD QB OR RECEIVERS?? SO BARRY SANDERS IS THE BEST RUNNING BACK THERE WAS, IS OR EVER WILL BE!!
