Bharat Bhushan Tyagi | A New Paradigm for Sustainable Transitions | MST 2023

Padmashri Bharat Bhushan Tyagi played a prominent role in the "International Conference on Managing Sustainable Transitions in Agriculture: Newer Directions for Research and Civic Action," which took place from November 16 to 18, 2023. During the conference, Mr. Tyagi discussed the nuances of natural farming and shed light on the contemporary challenges associated with embracing organic farming.
A distinguished farmer and the recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2019, Bharat Bhushan Tyagi has made remarkable contributions to the advancement of organic farming in India. Hailing from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, he actively conducts weekly training sessions for local farmers, with an impressive outreach of over 80,000 individuals. A graduate in science from Delhi University, Tyagi has collaborated with several government bodies, including the National Centre of Organic Farming, the International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA), the Ministry of Agriculture (India), the AFC, and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
