Anyone know what size nut is used on this model? I’ve a 2016 one and want to swap for a tusq but it seems impossible to find out if it’s a 42mm or 42.8 something or other. I don’t have a precise measuring tool so hoping some one on here knows

Where are you getting that from? AFAIK, none of the former American Standard Series come in a hardtail configuration. The guy on the left just doesn't have the trem bar installed.

I love my Fender's, but there's not a snowball's chance in hell that the "thin coating" has anything whatsoever to do with how the guitar sounds. Neither does the wood, for that matter.
Completely disagree. I've owned 2 strats with the same pickups and they sound completely different. Wood def makes a difference
That's okay, you're still wrong. Woods have no appreciable effect on how an electric guitar sounds. Just the facts.

The info is out there, look for yourself. If you hear a "completely different" sound between 2 Strats, it ain't the wood, bro. Christ, it isn't that hard to figure out. It's about pickups, amps, strings, effects. You know, signal chain. We're not talking acoustic guitars here.
Lol your right it's not hard to figure out. Same amp, effects, pickups, strings, cables etc but yet sounds like a different guitar. The only thing different is the wood and probably the finish bc one was mia and this one is mim. I'm not gonna waste my time trying to find proof of something that I know isn't true. But if you ever find these facts I'm interesting in hearing them.
