If u do the same thing for too long it can become suffocating. He needs to find some things to relax his mind and body for a while, but not so much that he loses his strengths.
Devon is secretly obsessed over his second defeat to Levon. He is going to restructure his training to maximize his overall growth and focus where he'll overcome these recent limitations. It's really amazing to watch his evolution over time. Anyway, that's my completely unscientific assessment of what's inside his head.
Let’s call it what it is.. he’s never arm wrestled a man like levan and to be quite frank .. it broke him. What made it worst was levan humbled and genuine personality. He pinned him and smiled..
the way Devon feels right now, all of his fans feel. If you haven't experienced such grief, you wouldn't understand. The entire world of Armwrestling is lesser for him having lost, and it hurts. It hurts a lot. PPV sales are about to nose dive and there will never be another age like this previous year.
I think it's a combination of a bunch of things. I think many people are forgetting what he went through with Denis (because of Babken). He and Jodi were claiming they were getting death threats from people from their team. I said at the time that I wouldn't be surprised if it was Dadikyan making those kinds of threats. If that is the case, then Devon might have specifically planned for this match as some kind of revenge battle. The problem is, he knows he would have to cycle hard again and it seems that the Levan match has just taken the wind out of his sails for now (along with being off-cycle). Devon knows that in order to face a guy like Dadikyan (and Babken/ their whole team again, especially if it's true that there's some personal baggage there tied to the death threats, etc) in the way that he really feels he wants/ needs to, he would have to re-enter war-mode both mentally and physically. I think he's just not in the right frame of mind at the moment to get back to that spot, and he may never be again.
Levan will be crushin alotta dreams for years to come, hes just built for this type of sport, frame, bone structure, hand size, and the horsepower of a rhino and hes still young, so itll be interesting to see how it all progresses.
Skinny man on PE D’s got crushed physically and mentally he’s got for losses recently. He’s so overrated nothing more than a big mouth inflated on juice.
This whole situation is a mess. First - the match should have been for devons title, not for dadykians. Second - he should have already been stripped off the title to begin with. And now he says he needs a break, so I wonder how long will he hold it. I'm happy and all for these amazing pay per views but lets be real, this will determine how i look at Engin and EvsW.
Fighters cut more water than that. He can diet down into the 240's. Water weight cut to 231 the morning of the weigh in. Only has to maintain a dehydrated status for maybe an hour. Weigh in and then immediately start rehydrating and eating back up around 250. The UFC light heavyweight champion weighs in at 205 pounds. He steps in the cage on fight night at 233 pounds.
@josephdover198 yea I understand water cuts. But he has gotten to where he was water cutting to 250. Was lean 265. So as you said he would need to diet down first in range and the guy is shredded to the bone when at 260. So that means unnecessary weight loss, hence my original comment. He has made claims as he is older now is probably 230 normally without force eating but I'd say his weight this past year in 260a is his "normal" weight now without restrictions and muscle loss.
@@josephdover198you realize those fighters aren't in their late 40s early 50s right? Lol Lot easier cutting weight in your 20s than it is when you're OLD.
the "base" he is talking about is his life outside of armwrestling. He owns a home, he's a dad, he's a husband. He has been prioritizing armwrestling for too long. He has shit to take care of.
Devon's soul belongs to the SHW division. 115 or 105 title means little to him without being competitive in SHW. His mind is probably taken away by the losses against Levan, and, though not as significantly, Kamil. Perhaps he needs some time to figure out a path to further his legacy in the SHW by working toward the no 1 spot again (close to impossible with Levan) or by some other means (probably equally as hard).
most athletes need a few weeks to recover and peak but with the constant enormous max effort workload of Devon I think he probably needs multiple months to fully recover and peak. I dont think 3 weeks was enough to recover and peak for Levan.
The other thin is that Dadikyan got stronger than his previots match. Recently I saw him cupping and side pressing 90kgs in a hook demostration. Man, he will destroys Todzilla again, I think Ivan is a very good opponent.
I think the real reason is because he would destroy everyone in that weight class and the road would just lead back to Levan. This is what just happened last year. It even wouldn’t been that exciting him blasting through everyone and break everyone’s confidence. Other than that the only other reason is he’s been competing so much and traveling so much, that he doesn’t think this is fair to his wife and family, which everyone understands and respects him for that. Devon definitely wasn’t going to lose

The dude needs to reset and heal and rest.. simple as. As far as the 115KG title being taken away you also need to really chill.. you act like there is someone there guaranteed to take it from Devon but not getting their opportunity.. but there isn't... this guy had to prep for Levan and can't defend 2 titles at once.. that is expecting him to literally be 2 weights at one time or back t back, that is unhealthy af and you obviously don't understand this impossibility if you flippantly think it should just be taken.. The man deserves time out of a contract to defend it.. Jeez smh. Y'all too amped and need to take a breather yourselves..
we dont need to freak out, we can just call him out for not keeping his word like he said he would . saying he was ready for 3 weight classes right after, then canceling because he doesnt want his delusional fans to be more reality warped than when levan beat him...
Your comment is as delusional as it can get. 1. "No one is guaranteed to take it from Devon" why does Levan even compete then? 2. It is unhealthy af? Devon himself said the doesn't need to do anything to get to 115kg and it's the easiest thing for him. How is it unhealthy and how do you know more than him?
The candle is in reference to the slow burning candle technique. You read way too much into things. Give the guy a break, he’s been nonstop for two years. He had one of his longest workups ever for Levan. Brother needs a break.
yes its a movie but.... At more than 3,000 lines, Beowulf is the longest epic poem in Old English that has come down to us. The oldest surviving version is in a manuscript written between 975 and 1025 AD which recounts events set in the 6th century AD. Oral versions of the heroic tale had probably been composed centuries earlier. The story of Beowulf is briefly told in two wooden panels carved by our volunteers. Some scenes have a caption describing the scene in Anglo-Saxon runes.

He has the right to do anything he wants, he is the true King 🤴 of Armwrestling. He’s had more matches than anyone in the industry and beating 99% of everyone out there💪🏽✊🏽
EXCEPT FOR THE GUY THAT COUNTS. He couldn’t even beat Genadi. The Georgians OWN Devon, and he knows it. Until he wakes up and does some serious weight/strength training, he should stay gone.
He will just be too much for a lower weight division that would be boring, he will take a break and go back training for super heavy. Devon is very unpredictable when it comes to decisioning. I think he is thinking of going back in superheavy instead of losing so much weight for a lower weight division. He will rest and probably get a rematch with Genadi on his return.
Just spoke to Devon last night. He wants you guys to know that he is thinking of possibly retiring from the sport of armwrestling. Nothing is for certain, but he says he is 95% sure that he will forever be taking a step back, rather than a step forward when it comes to competing. It is time. Sorry guys.
People like you keep on targetting Devon forgetting none of these arm wrestlers would be famous or getting paid the money they are if it wasn't for Devon. He was the one that made this sport mainstream. The views on his matches show his influence. I really hope Devon quits arm wrestling all together at this point. Then when i sport will die eventually in a year or two, everyone would be whining like puppies that they don't get recognition. Arm wrestling really will die with Devon and it's facts.
Devon shot for the stars in trying to beat Levan and no one can blame him for that. But it's easy to forget he's still only human, and if I'm being completely honest i've never really bought into the idea that he is a true super heavyweight. I don't think it's good for his mental or physical health to compete at that weight so for sure he should take some time off to rebuild both mentally and physically then compete in the weight classes his body and frame is suited for.
Levan match did a number on him mentally Off cycle, needs to rest his body and mind because of how active he has been Both of the scenarios above are true, it's no rocket science to be discussed, he should get his rest and look after his mental health after the defeat and after being over active for so long
I absolutely disagree with saying this wouldn't happen if he won, win OR lose Devon had been burning the candle at both ends the last 2 years, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he took a break even if he won, hell maybe especially if he won. He also has a family who have a say.
Davit is a tough opponent. Devon doesnt want another loss. He's tired and not mentally ready to climb another mountain... He thinks he's the burning candle that show light to others and for who else better than his own son... Its his time to shine now and indeed his father is steeping back a little to bring him in the limelight.
Smart move. He needs to take a 3 month break, and just practice pull to get his confidence back (after levan). Mentally I think he’s spent. And davit is hungry and smells blood. Still think Devon is favorite, but there’s a known X factor.
Of course, the obvious reason remains. Devon was scared he would lose to Dadikiyan. I am a Devon fan, but I would not count out Davit. Not like pulling a recovering Denis.
Im afan of no one I just love sport . You guys acting like he's 20 year old man's 50 years old and has more matches than any one in last pass two years.
Nah I think he’s getting off the juice and going down in weight levan is just to fat
Let’s call it what it is.. he’s never arm wrestled a man like levan and to be quite frank .. it broke him. What made it worst was levan humbled and genuine personality. He pinned him and smiled..
Devon smiles while pinning someone: "What an arrogant a$$hole!!"
Levan smiles while pinning someone: "He's so humble, what a great guy!"
Yes he should be strip of his 115kg belt for sure as he is completely keeping the title hostage, i feel bad for that belt
the way Devon feels right now, all of his fans feel. If you haven't experienced such grief, you wouldn't understand. The entire world of Armwrestling is lesser for him having lost, and it hurts. It hurts a lot. PPV sales are about to nose dive and there will never be another age like this previous year.
Steroids, stem cells, dieting, training like crazy, Fanboys are heartbroken and making excuses. Levan broke his spirit. Bow down now
I Think all Devon haters are making excuses that Devon makes excuses. If people are mentally drained, it is no joke.
@@jonimatto1145 Funny how they just make shit up to keep their hate alive ... sad.
@@WaspMedia3D Yeah it is, they just try to find anything from Devons actions and it is wrong. Maybe they hate because he is so popular.
@@jonimatto1145 They hate because they weren't raised properly.
I think he's just not in the right frame of mind at the moment to get back to that spot, and he may never be again.
he needs rest. he was so active last 3 years. his body and mind are tired. he gave it all. he's not young man anymore
If this news from Dadikyan than surely devon will make a video 😂😂😂
Levan will be crushin alotta dreams for years to come, hes just built for this type of sport, frame, bone structure, hand size, and the horsepower of a rhino and hes still young, so itll be interesting to see how it all progresses.
Skinny man on PE D’s got crushed physically and mentally he’s got for losses recently. He’s so overrated nothing more than a big mouth inflated on juice.
Finally people see thru the 🤡
❤
just like your balls😂
@@Andreimaran69destroying Georgie, Ermes and Denis but losing to Levan like everyone else means he is overrated? Lmao
A candle burns brightest before it goes out.
I dont think he can cut the weight in a way he would like to and still be strong enough.
Hes old and cutting weight sucks.
Id say he realized that's not just a "water cut"
Lol
Lot easier cutting weight in your 20s than it is when you're OLD.
Exactly
I'd say with the Shady EvsW weigh ins. Devon wouldn't even have to actually weigh in. So I don't think weight cut was an issue
the "base" he is talking about is his life outside of armwrestling.
Five f ing years haha where did you get that number dude ???
most athletes need a few weeks to recover and peak but with the constant enormous max effort workload of Devon I think he probably needs multiple months to fully recover and peak.
We are really reaching with this video and drawing our own conclusions out of nothing.
From almost having 3 titles to getting stripped of his only Title. Things can change so fast
Heavy weight and light heavy weight are too easy for him he can get them whenever he wants. He’s just tired
He still has the heavyweight title officially. And no one in that class has a chance against him.
@@Papaspronator He only pulled 1 guy in heavys...There are people, Dadikyan was the one and Matjushenko is one.
@@Papaspronator dnno his ped abuse is taking toll on him and he looks small unable to gain weight even with them at full force for over a year before the levan match.
@@ronniemillsap you don’t know what he was taking prior to Levan match. Maybe he just isn’t willing to take what would be needed to gain the weight. No one really knows. He’s obviously taking them but I’m speaking to the amounts being a mystery.
Dadikyan vs Ivan, or maybe Rino rh at 115 would be nice (yes I know Ivan beat Rino left, but not sure who would win between them rh)
going of cycle is depressing as hell.
He wont be “off” he will be on test no matter what

Agreed with it all man needs a break and to heal mentally too.
Likening losing a sporting match to having a miscarriage though? Big F off apology required by devon for that one. WOW.
Devon needs to take a break.
I really can't handle this world anymore with everything going on in this world now this has to happen like I can't I can't take anymore I really can't

You trolling eh? Devon fangirl relax remember 10-0...
@@altair227 How is he Devon fangirl if he is supposedly trolling Devon.
HE IS OFF CYCLE!!!!! NO ROIDS... NO ARM WRESTLING 😅
As much as I hate to say this but Levan actually took away his soul. Things will never be the same again.
Dadikiyan vs Ivan / Evgeny would be a grinder....
Devon: I’m gonna make Levan quit on the tables he’s going to quit. I’m so excited.
Also Devon: quits armwrestling after getting annihilated twice by Levan.
I love seeing how when a human makes the best decision for themselves such as resting mentally and physically after a long haul, everyone freaks out and acts as if it is the end of the world and most shocking thing ever.. chill.
He needs a break and I believe genadi is on his list . He needs to wrap that up with genadi before he fights dadykan
The candle is in reference to the slow burning candle technique.
You read way too much into things. Give the guy a break, he’s been nonstop for two years. He had one of his longest workups ever for Levan. Brother needs a break.
yes its a movie but....
At more than 3,000 lines, Beowulf is the longest epic poem in Old English that has come
down to us. The oldest surviving version is in a manuscript written between 975 and 1025
AD which recounts events set in the 6th century AD. Oral versions of the heroic tale had
probably been composed centuries earlier.
The story of Beowulf is briefly told in two wooden panels carved by our volunteers. Some
scenes have a caption describing the scene in Anglo-Saxon runes.
Queen's move
Lmaooo this is PERFECT way to described it!
Chances are he might lose the following match and doesn't want to Risk.
And that would be a disaster. Needs more time to get ready😮
don't forget also that after the denis match he said he would never AW anyone from that team ..Hmmm
Something with hes health.
Hes drop endurance so much.
Looks weird.
Against Levan hes gas out
Against practice kurdecha same.
Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like some health problems
He has the right to do anything he wants, he is the true King 🤴 of Armwrestling. He’s had more matches than anyone in the industry and beating 99% of everyone out there💪🏽✊🏽
EXCEPT FOR THE GUY THAT COUNTS. He couldn’t even beat Genadi. The Georgians OWN Devon, and he knows it. Until he wakes up and does some serious weight/strength training, he should stay gone.
Its easy to have opinions, its not easy to be the man that u have opinions about.
Haven't seen the movies aye?
Cry😢
This is what parasocial relationships do to a mf
@@Nanamin69 who are you talking about??
Devon shot for the stars in trying to beat Levan and no one can blame him for that. But it's easy to forget he's still only human, and if I'm being completely honest i've never really bought into the idea that he is a true super heavyweight. I don't think it's good for his mental or physical health to compete at that weight so for sure he should take some time off to rebuild both mentally and physically then compete in the weight classes his body and frame is suited for.
He should probably stick with 115kg only instead of running for multiple titles
100% devon's head messed up by levan
David vs Ivan for the 115kg title
Is combining the 105 and 115kg and making it a 110kg not a good idea?
Lol
what?Todd should get a rematch in 2 years just like everyone else.
Personally, I'm glad he cancelled this fight. I was definitely not looking forward to seeing "No Limits" go down to 105.
Levan match did a number on him mentally
Off cycle, needs to rest his body and mind because of how active he has been
Both of the scenarios above are true, it's no rocket science to be discussed, he should get his rest and look after his mental health after the defeat and after being over active for so long
Devon got dump trucked by Levan, it was a total of 25-30 seconds of arm wrestling over 4 rounds and that ruined Devon mentally
Whats the real reason?
He doesn't want to or can't cut the weight and still be strong.
Hahaha never break devon sorry he been through to much in his life bro would been brok in 7 tours speacial forces
He's lost it now I think DONE
2:00 big brother
I absolutely disagree with saying this wouldn't happen if he won, win OR lose Devon had been burning the candle at both ends the last 2 years, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he took a break even if he won, hell maybe especially if he won. He also has a family who have a say.
Devon have depression .....he really believed on beating Levan
Prudnik replacement?
Start of every video: volume 99+ “DEVON LARRATT!!…” 😂
Davit is a tough opponent. Devon doesnt want another loss. He's tired and not mentally ready to climb another mountain...
He thinks he's the burning candle that show light to others and for who else better than his own son... Its his time to shine now and indeed his father is steeping back a little to bring him in the limelight.
agree, at 105KG Dadikyan will win
Not like pulling a recovering Denis.
there is no ways he is scared of Dadikyan.
Im afan of no one I just love sport . You guys acting like he's 20 year old man's 50 years old and has more matches than any one in last pass two years. That man's not dodging no one and he's not broken from a loose , he's probably physically and mentely drained. His last match probably took way to much out of him you can't recover at 50 in few weeks lol . Man's time almost up in high lvl armwrestling . with that being said he has given his life to the sport in big way . Let man rest stop acting like he isnt one of best to ever pull . And not legend of the sport. It's time for him to think of where his place is in the sport
Devon just wants to have a rest where he will become weaker so other armwrestlers will have a chance
Levan destroyed his dreams

Man.. He's letting the Levan match get too him too much I believe.
right now everyone can beat devon
