why equation (v) is multiplied by 3 can any one explain, please???
We need to find the constants 'a' and 'b'. Right?
So we use here cancellation law, and for that it is necessary that the coefficients of either a or b must be same in both equations.
To make the coefficient of a same in both equations, we multiply the 1st equation by 3. And then we take the subtraction of both eqns and find the value of a.
Why you multiply by 3?
