My father and i would bond over Metallica because the band was both our favorite bands. After we both watched SnM 2 on tv it clicked in my head that this band was for the both of us. He died last year on easter. The day he died ,when i came home i just blasted this song into my ears and just sobbed for hours .And its never the same without him, but when i listen to Metallica, i feel his presence and the bond we had. Everyday is hard to live but i have to keep going, for my dad . I'll forever play Metallica for you Dad. Love you Dad Forever. God rest your soul.

I've been listening to them from 1988, when I was 14, saw them only once when they visited Belgrade in 2004. and they still rocks! When corona hysterics broke out I started to play the guitar after teen age and I found I enjoy playing Metallica the most. It took months to learn only a few songs properly and achieve original speed, but what a joy I feel every day! Playing The shortest straw makes me the happiest. More than Master.., Harvester.., The frayed ends.. and Creeping death (I learned that songs so far). Now I'm struggling with insane Blackened speed, lol...Metallica is the best HM bend for sure...amazing career and songs.

38 years old and just saw them for the first time Friday and Sunday at Metlife. I grew up listening to other music but occasionally enjoyed their more well known songs. I wasn't familiar with this track and my brain almost explored. They're brilliant. It's too bad I didn't dive deeper into their music but I'm glad I got to see them.

James is one of the few singers whose voice has improved with age. I admit I much prefer the music of Master of Puppets or Justice for All over their newer music, but it is still nice to have them around and still making music.

Im 55 and this was on my bucket list. This concert couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Very thankful to have been there. Thank you Metallica for making my dream come true.
I just listened to this live about 6 times all at different years in their career. Its amazing to me how good they still sound even now. You could tell they really hit a rough patch in the early to mid 2000's obviously. And that was almost 2 decades ago and to my ear they sound better now then they did then. That's pretty awesome imo. This sounds great, these guys just kill it.
To me they definitely hit a rough patch around the mid 2000s but after death magnetic came out in 2008 every year since then they’ve been improving and hitting new peaks especially since 2021 imo from Lars’s tighter and better drumming,kirks playing,robs better backing vocals to James’s smoother vocals + he can now also scream like he used to do all the time in the 80s and not damage his voice nearly as bad and with all that there all nearly in there 60s currently it’s a testament to the longevity of Metallica they would hit there prime like in the mid 80s to early 90s start to fall downwards in the mid 2000s then they would pick it back up if not tighter and better than before! In the 2020s! At this rate they all four could absolutely make it to there 50th anniversary in 2031! And crush it in there late 60s to early 70s!!

40 years into their career with band members who are 58-59 years old and they're sounding amazing. James seems a little bit tired these days and the setlists have been cut down from 18 songs to 16 songs but their music is very physically challenging. You have to wonder at what age they'll be too old to play songs like Blackened and Disposable Heroes, the day will come when they can't play those songs anymore and we'll be getting shorter setlists at 14 songs with more ballads than thrashers. Metallica will be around for a loooong time, but let's make the most of while they physically CAN play the thrash stuff and open the pit.
I'm guessing they'll start to cut down on the thrashers in about 5 years or so. That'll be a sad day but I'm honestly excited for them performing more load / groovier stuff

I have been a fan since 1984, seen them a bunch. They are playing so tight these days consistently, it's amazing. To see 60 year old guys rocking that hard and sounding that good is crazy. Even the tougher songs they sound great.
Seen them over 43 years ago in concert and have been jamming with them ever since. Now health has me wondering about how many days and their music is one thing that keeps me sane. Thanks for the memories Metallica. Let's Crank It Up!!! RockNRoll My Friends. God Bless
