    So true. I remember two women with really toxic energy braiding my hair when I was a teenager. I remember feeling nauseous during my braiding session and thought that it was probably something that I had eaten earlier. Driving home I had to pull over and vomit. ( I felt so much better as soon as I did.....goodness!)I remember closing my eyes and seeing their faces and realized that they were fighting while doing my hair. It was in a different language so I dismissed it. Energy is everything!

    Thank you so much for this video. I'm new to your channel and I'll be getting my sisterlocks installed really soon and this has really helped because when I went for my consultation she mentioned different lock patterns for my front and back and now I know I can ask more on that for myself

    Hi Tunisia! My sisterlock voyage embarks in 2 weeks and this video was suggested by YT at the perfect time (benefit of being a subscriber). I am a planner and have been consuming as much SL content as I can over the past month or so since I decided to join the loc community. Your videos have helped me to continue to practice patience because instead of driving myself crazy tapping my foot and waiting for the time to pass, I'm learning as much as I can before the rest of my SLs join this cluster of test locs. Thank you for selflessly sharing so much incredible knowledge and information. I appreciate you!

    Wonderful, wonderful video. Do you know what patterns are recommended for certain density and hair types?

    • @TunisiaAli
      @TunisiaAli  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know that for hair that may have more slippage the 4 pattern is recommended and I believe the reverse 4 pattern is the tightest. I have been told that the 3 pattern allows more volume and is less tight. I hope this helps. I will double le check with my loctician next time.

    • @TunisiaAli
      @TunisiaAli  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmmm....maybe a hair care gift or if you know her well, something she likes. Even a gift certificate to Amazon or something may be nice. Just a token of appreciation. What a nice thought you are thinking of.

    I love you sista T! Omg what would i do without you! You are a wealth of information and inspiration. The two ppl that i trust are not doing installs. They are sending me to ppl i dont know and that worries me. Ive know these ladies for decades and we vibe so well, especially one of them. Idk what to do? I guess ill go for consults with the 2 ppl and see how i vibe with them. Uggh😣 this is such a tedious exhausting process. I love the way interlocking looks and i really want them but i may just get really small traditional locs. Bcus the cost time and journey is not as overwhelming.

    • @TunisiaAli
      @TunisiaAli  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I cant imagine what that is like. When you find good folks you want to hold on to them! Too bad they are not installing anymore. Be patient so that you get what you want the way you want it. Keep manifesting that perfect person you vibe with that can make your hair dreams a reality.

    Hi Tunisia! What type of gift do you recommend?

    • @TunisiaAli
      @TunisiaAli  5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Hey Brandi!!! If you been able to get a feel of them from a visit and have an idea of their personality, that could provide some insight. Otherwise perhaps soemthing that provides comfort since they are on their feet all day or soemthing thay reminds them to self care. Slippers, essential oil body wash for a hot bath, or even a little something they could use in their shop for clients in the form of several things in a care package gift bag. As long as it has utility and thoughtfulness behind it, you cant go wrong.

    Hi Tunisia! I absolutely love your hair. You have exactly the style I'm looking for - size, parting, number of locs, everything. lol I was wondering if Ifraj did your installation or did you discover her later along your hair journey? Would you still recommend the person that did your install or do you think Ifraj is better person to go to? Just wondering. Thank you!

    • @TunisiaAli
      @TunisiaAli  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been with Ifraj since the beginning. I've used a back up maybe 10 or less times in almost 12 years. If you find the right person, stick with them! I appreciate you tuning in Sister!

    Hello.....So Grateful I found your page!
    What are your thoughts on brick pattern and the regular grid?
    I'm not a fan of the middle part and wondered if the brick style can be done in the front and regular in the back?
    I plan on getting sisterlocks soon...Your energy is wonderful💛

      Thank you Sis. I am unsure of the BP. I think if the name is a clue, you want that overlap. But, if you can find a loctician to do it, I think that would be great. Since you are living with them, you are what matters. People say nonsense about switching up things. I'm all 4 it.

    Hi Tunisia! Love your videos! New subby here - my consultation is this fall and my consultant mentioned there will be two braiders in my hair, she (with over 10 years experience) and another another certified consultant (not a mentee) is this a good idea? While I love the idea of cutting the time to get it done, my concern is whether or not the size will be the same with two different braiders in my head.

  • @SpecialK2644

      @@TunisiaAli hi tunisia! love your videos and tips - thank you, thank you, thank you! may i ask how do you separate a lock? do you take the whole lock down, separate it into two sections and then relock them? i got my sisterlocks installed a month ago and i'm loving them, but i really want some of the "bigger" locks smaller. is it too late?
