Great video! I noticed the heavier set up you used (sigma 24-70 f2.8) isn't on the compatibility list but still worked well. I have a sony A6400 with sigma 16mm f1.4 lens - also quite front heavy, but lighter overall setup than what you had. Also not on the compatibility list. Do you think this would still work well on the weebill 3? Thanks a lot :)

Great review, and love the peak design clip. I use those, too. One question have you gotten any of the cables to work? It seems like it should work, but haven't had any luck.
Thank you! I have talked about that in the video, cables work to some extent, but it is not possible to get full functionality. I always recommend simply using buttons on the camera.
Have you tried mounting it vertically with a cage or L bracket? Want to know if it would handle that

Well done review, very helpful. I am considering replacing my very faulty Moza Air 2 and this unit looks like a good choice. Once concern - the internal battery is not user- replaceable, correct? So after a few hundred charge/discharge cycles, won't it not accept much of a charge and thus either have to be sent back to Zhiyun for repair (could be pricey) or discarded (ouch)? What is your thought on that? By the way, were all of the clips shot in Bratislava?
Thank you! I don't mind non-replaceable battery, by the time that it will be dead, it will be a time to upgrade to newer gimbal anyway. If you are concerted about the longevity, don't charge it over 80% and don't let it drop below 20%. That will most likely increase the lifespan of the battery beyond the lifespan of other components.
Nice job. I see this new one is a bit smaller in size compared to Weebill 2, does it give a better stability and handheld feeling at the same time?
Thank you! No, Weebill 2 is full size gimbal, so it will probably still be a bit more stable, although the mid-size Weebill 3 is more than sufficient for most mirrorless setups.
Nice one! Wondering if you have A7C to test it with since it’s IBIS isn’t as great as A7IV. If not this one, which one would you recommend for A7C + 24 GM combo?
This is ideal for A7C, it has similar IBIS to A7III, so it might be slightly less smooth, but still very good.

Do you mean you want to control the camera by the gimbal? If so, make sure your camera is in the compatibility list of the Weebill 2, and you have to use a cable to connect them.

Thank you! It is mainly a fill light, so I wouldn’t use it as a primary option to light a scene.

Thanks for this. I am about to open up the Weebill 2 for Father's Day. I took quite some time to choose that and then found out the Weebill 3 just came out (gnashing teeth). I am contemplating returning the 2 and getting the 3 but seems like the 2 is still very good. I got the ZHIYUN TransMount Video Transmission Transmitter (AI) for free as a package deal and also $50 off. The advancements of technology can drive you crazy but also is a good thing. Always look to your reviews for feedback.
You're welcome! As I have explained, the Weebill 3 is not really a Weebill 2 successor, so there is no reason to be disappointed in that regard.
I ve managed to use it with Canon r6 and rf 70 200 f4 is. It is a very good gimbal.

Depends on the specific camera and lens combination.

You can use the TransMount Focus/Zoom Control Motor 2.0 which is made by Zhiyun with the Weebill 3.

I am glad to hear this gimbal is working with the Sony A74 because the Weebill S has an issue with the Sony A74. The rec button does not start a recording. If you start recording with the shutter on the camera, the Rec button on the Weebill S can stop the recording but it does not start it. Weird but I hope they solve it soon.
It is the same with any gimbal, as explained in the video. My recommendation is to forget about the remote control and use buttons on the camera.
@@TheHybridShooter thanks . You said using the camera for tweaking the camera parameters. But that is actually working on my weebbill S, What is not working is the rec button to start recording from the gimbal. To me that is a mejor flaw and having to press the rec button on the camera to start recording every take is not a health way to work. I didn't know the rec button does not work even with Weebill 3. to me that turns Weebill into We-evil lol.

Do you have the same problem with the other previous Weebill models, like the roll axis, that often cause the horizon tilt issue whenever you pan left/right?
No, I have never had such issue with any Weebill gimbal, except the original LAB.
hello friends! Please help me. I got the Weebill 3. I little sad. I can't connect it to my sony a7 III using cable. I want to control shutter, ISO, aperture using Weebill 3 and cable to sony. Maybe you have some tutorial? I also have Weebill S and there are no problem to connect and control camera by Weebill S. I need just one cable for it. Could i control ISO, aperture, shutter through connection by cable from weebill to sony ? And how to set up it ?
I honestly don't know, I use controls on the camera. It is much more convenient and you won't have any cables hanging form the camera.

Probably because it defeats the purpose of a gimbal that tries to be as light as possible...
Using external monitor is very crucial for some me included.
You can simply mount it using one of the 1/4" mounts on the sides if the added weight and overall "cumbersomeness" of the setup is worth it to you.
Wow, the first objective review seeing the Webil 3 more of a successor to the S rather than the 2, as oppose to other TH-camrs who just said nice things for getting a free gimbal.
Being a successor of Weebill S is not a bad thing though, it is just in a different category.

I have Sony A7iv connected to Zhiyun Weebill 3 over multi cable, firmware of Camera is 1.10, firmware of gimbal is 1.75 ( lastest still now ). But I've got a problem is: Cannot press single to record video. A half press will help you autofocus, full press will not do anything. Long press ( about 2 seconds ) will record video.
Anyone see the same problem there ???
Make sure you used the Type-C to Multi USB to connect the camera to the gimbal.😜
@@JasmineHuang-rt8vm Problem 's fixed. Zhiyun suport team gives me fw 1.74 for W3 and now everything is Ok.

Thanks for this review. Considering that this is already an upgrade, it seems they are still way behind the Ronins' raveneye technology.
I haven't tested Raveneye, so I can't comment on that. Realistically, it doesn't make much sense to use it in this class. multi-crew productions that can utilize such technology will use completely different type of equipment.
I think Weebill has to step up their game when it comes to stabilization and focus tracking. That puts Zhiyun at a disadvantage when compared to DJI gimbals especially now that the RS3 and RS3 pro has been packed with upgraded features.
Not at all, this is as stable as it gets in this weight category.
Great review, but I can't help but feel like it's a downgrade over the Weebill 2. With that one, I liked the larger display for control, but it went down and the handle, which had a number of different mounts. This one still looks like a weird tower with the tripod. I was more impressed with the RS3.
Thank you! As I have explained, it is not an upgrade or downgrade, it is in a different category than Weebill 2, which is a full size gimbal, Weebill 3 is mid-size Weebill S successor. Display on Weebill 2 is great, but not possible to use on Weebill 3 due to the size.
The zhiyun crane m3 has a better touch screen control. I know it's a different kind of gimble but zhiyun could have made this just a touch more premium buy using a touchscreen control for the menu and settings. A bit disappointing they cut cost using an lcd none touchscreen instead
Better screen would be nice, but that control wheel is actually very convenient to use.
