    I also have two safety chains attached to the dolly just in case. Their are already holes in the dolly to bolt them on......just a precaution.

    In the video you say the ball height should be 14” off the ground, but the manual says 18” to 20”. I like your height better as it lessens the pivot of the dolly tray when loading the vehicle (using 2”x6” to boost the ramps to compensate for the steep angle on the ramps). I assume you’ve had no problems with dragging or scrapping with the ball height that low?

    The adjustable strap sucks, spend a few dollars more and get the fixed strap, easy on with no problems.

    Any problem towing lower to the ground cars with the ramps popping up like that?

    Could those straps be used to tie down a classic mini with 10" tyres on the smallest adjustment?

    I just got the tow. Dolly my car dose not have a locking stearin. Can it be tow not locked

      @Dude13450 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if you load the car right, the front wheels will be off the ground. The trailer will locomote the front end. Stearing shouldn't be an issue at all, unless you have one of the few cars that has a front rear shared stearing system like the old 1st gen Preludes.

    good video. also, you didn't mention the SAFETY CHAINS that go under the vehicle, as well as the ones on the hitch.

    I like basket straps better... less farting around!

    You should really have atleast 3 layers around the ratchet spool for the strap to be secured properly in my opinion. So i leave some slack in strap before ratcheting.

    Good video thanks I also wrap seat belt through the steering wheel with the steering wheel in locked position and I also unload the car when the car and ramps are straight .

    Richard. The blue part Pivots with the car all you have to do is kick it back into place but you could drive down the road with it pivoted and it wont effect the dolly.

    Mine has two buckets and to long and it has no adjustment on it. How can I shorten the strap so I can tighten up without running out of room? I was I had the one you got.

    Hey there Jack, we are a company that sells cargo control products and was wondering if you would be open to reviewing our products on TH-cam. Our company, Tarps & Tie-Downs, has been operational for close to 50 years and we offer a wide selection of products from ratchet/winch straps to truck tarps. Do you have a business email we could send some information for you to look at?

    Everyone is praising the video. It's ok I guess. The strapping system is too involved and needs work. Also, the titling lock pin needs to be spring loaded and stay at the locking point. People (including me) will forget to pick it up and use it.

    Thanks for the great video, even though towing a Honda is a waste of time, best advice is to abandon the Honda (or take it to the scrap yard).

    Can the Master Tow Dolly be used to tow a 2015 Ford Edge AWD? Want to tow with my motorhome but cant find info about what can be used without a complete fabrication of the front end of the car!

    • @Dude13450
      @Dude13450 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If its automatic, probably not. The wheels will always be turning so you dont want to risk damage to the transmission. These are typically used for fwd cars or other drivetypes with a manual transmission.

    • @label1877
      @label1877 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude13450 You can use with a rear wheel drive automatic, just remove the drive shaft. It’s a simple task.
