    4 Days ago I bought my 2016 Rancher 4x4 420CC quad. I opted out the ES crap model and got the manual shift version. I wanted to be in control of what gear I placed the bike at whatever speed and terrain I chose. The manual shift is THEE best model to chose from.
    I also have the option to chose from 2 wheel drive, to 4x4 drive, and I love it! This bike is kick ass and awesome in all the right places! This bike is worth it's weight n GOLD and worth it all! Get this frigg'n bike NOW!!!!!!

    Love my Rancher!! It's not fastest or the flashiest but it is rock solid. Does the job on the farm and out to play. The IRS does sit up higher when hooking up the wagon or trailer vs the 2000 Recon. Bullet proof reliability, customer service, and a great service department gives all the confidence you need going into your purchase.

    I have a 2001 Honda 350 Rancher FM 4x4 that is under the works for restoration. I've owned 2 other hondas and both had the ES. Both bikes were durable and a pleasure to drive! Now I have the chance to enjoy the old school foot shift that in my opinion is a tad bit better because it doesn't require both hands to drive, just simply gas it and shift with the left foot. Honda has always been a good Atv company.

      I never have to choose gears because it is always in the right one. I touh the throttle and it goes in a instant pulling the tire off the ground. I have had my Brute FOrce since 07 as the first Fuel injected model (08 model) and I have never had a problem. Also the CVT is not computer controlled only the fuel injection is. CVT uses clutches and belts.
      If I where to choose a Honda the Dual Clutch seems to be the option to get.

    I have the 2016 Rubicon EPS DCT. I agree, the Auto shift is poor for riding on trails. Though to be fair, it was designed for when the machine is being used for work such as trailer pulling or plowing so maybe it would work for that. Like my rubicon though! Except when it gets stuck out of gear. :(

      DCT = less maintenance and less things to worry about, its for people who want to choose how much power they want in a certain situation. CVT = give it gas and go for a ride. You will have to worry about the belt but the ride is a little smoother

Belts don't last, matter of fact, my uncle has a 2011 Polaris Ranger, and he has had to replace the belt many times, my big red has never had any sort of problem, long live Honda!

    I can't understand why the honda transmission isn't a perfect combo. who really cares what it shifts like in auto while riding agressively because who really wants to be in auto when you're playing and riding agressively. Granted electric shift isn't quite the same as shifting with your foot, it does work decent and shifts quick. It certainly had its issues in its infancy when the first rachers and foremans were introduced but since then i believe the reliability issues have been worked out. I think the option of being able to shift is brilliant so you can play but when the wife wants to go camp and isn't into riding quite like you are, she is still able ride it.

  • @JBodine67
    @JBodine67 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    IMO...The straight-axle rear end is better in real-world conditions;namely,longer lasting over time,and better stability,on off-cambers and fast corners.
    If you ride where there's a lot of sticks on the trail,go with a straight-axle machine;the c.v. boots will get damaged even with a-arm guards.Expensive repairs will follow.

  • @kawirider38112

    420 2x4 is the only fourwheeler ill ever own. I consider it a sport/utility, if you have some skill riding, a 420 will climb and do about anything. You couldnt give me a auto big bore heavy quad, and yes ive had one i had a brute force. They are not respected like they should be if youve never owned one you wont go back to a heavy 4x4.

  • @dirtbeard108
