@@grippytires5405 ah well my perception of what is expensive for a car is probably way different from urs considering i live in singapore. A simple toyota costs like 100k USD over here.
Thank you! (we hope you mean "not left to rot"). We're making good use of it when we can to bring you more content like this. What else would you like to see Sam drive at Rockingham?
I would have put a wankel rotary turbo set just like the good old mazda rx7 , which is also 1.3 but turbo , and 280hp , not counting my 2 cens…. What a enjoyable car!!
No, it’s not as cheap to buy as a 20 year old BMW 318i track car, but the Hyper Racer does Formula 3 and Radical lap times. Compare 60 grand brand new to the brand new prices of a Formula 3 or Radical and then come back to me.
Don't forget the low running costs too. For the people who are actually in the market, this is cheaper than other current options, plus more rewarding.
I second the comment on running costs. I ran an X1 for a 5 round season plus track days this year and it cost me less than 5k total for the year, that’s everything, round entries, tyres, fuel, any parts needing replacement, etc My one set of slicks lasted 5 full race weekends. The running costs are almost lower than racing a Hyundai Excel and definitely cheaper than racing a Toyota 86, it’s crazy.
You failed to mention it's #1 feature that distinguishes it from almost all other "race" cars... The fact that it is all designed round a really wide venturi for full ground effects. Usless predictable review full of whoops and giggles, please do better in future.
Oh man, the scream of that superbike engine🤤
We love it too! Especially with headphones in 🎧😌
What a machine, wouldn't want to hit a speed bump in that!
Haha. A rally cross version might need a bit more suspension travel 😆
60k is an absolute steal! Amazing car.
We think so too! All that speed and usability
Idk seems pretty expensive for something powered by a motorbike engine

I know it's not used for racing anymore but it's good to see Cinch keeping Rockingham in good condition and it's left to rot

I'd love you to open it up to Motorsport UK events again. A sprint or two would go down brilliantly with the competitors.
@@ZetecinsideMotorsport Yeah agreed.

Looks really good, and goes well, £60K is not a cheap way to get on track?
It sure does! For a single-seater with such high performance and turn-key usability, we reckon it's not too bad at all. Don't you think? 😀

Looks like it's ground effect, maybe 5meters long boats are not needed to make it work(this does'nt reach 4m).

overpriced kart cross....
But it's sooo cool. No? 🔥
