Even though the content did not match the title, it was a good video. Loved the 4-car garage photo studio. Would love to see how the studio is used to capture full-length portraits of vehicles.
Don't listen to people sayin' you can't convert color neg film to black and white because they clearly don't know that you can put a color neg film in a black and white enlarger... as you say your the artist so do as you please ! you killed it !
I felt your pain! There’s nothing more stressful (in this context) than struggling with technical shit (especially with people watching) when you know that the really important stuff you should be focusing on is creating an interaction with and giving direction to your subject, so you can come up with ideas based on what you’re getting back. Well I’d say you appeared to keep your cool a lot better than most people would have done, or if not your just good a hiding it! Question: if you’re so new to photography, what’s your background that gave you the skills you need to use photoshop etc? Enjoying the journey 👍
Nice work guys. That's a great studio for sure. I use that light meter too - it's awesome. Small and simple, and very accurate. Though the title did catch my attention because I thought "There is no "versus" with Hasselblad". Hasselblad every day of the week and twice on Sunday. :-) For me at least...each to his own though hey.
Thanks a lot Rowan! I’ve used it twice, and both times I have loved the results. Such a great lens for portraits and it is super lightweight so you don’t have to worry about the camera front being too heavy. Yes... VERY sharp as well for film & digital. GET IT! haha
I love your content, but it’s a little confusing what these videos are for big picture. Is this a reality show? We need some narrative at the beginning Mike.
Regarding the strobe- In all truth the first test fire would have shown the error and you would have fixed it. Not even a single frame of film would be wasted. Hardly a biggie.
This has got to be the worst camera comparison ever. You had in your hand 2 of the best film cameras ever made, and your pictures were crap. I personally shoot on a mamiya rb67, why, because I can’t compose a frame on a 1x1 square if my life depended on it. But i want to hear about the lenses, the experience of shooting film with flash, etc. Not this, specially not this...
Man, I loved when your mentor stepped in and told you about that light 😁
You killed it for your first time bro!!!!!!!
thanks bro!
“I wish I brought Miso soup with me” 😂😂😂

First time shooting film with strobes? You did fantastically well especially as you had little to no help. You'd nail it in a rematch, well done Mike.

Why do all you American photography hipster have to have lo-fi constantly going in the background of all your videos? It's annoying.
