- Here is a short uncirculated clip from Willie Nelson's 2nd 4th of July Picnic featuring Jerry Jeff Walker and The Lost Gonzo Band with an appearance from Ray Wylie Hubbard. Two of these songs would actually feauture in the film that was released back in the day. Little Bird, Charlie Dunn and Sangria Wine wouldn't make the cut. I decided to use the audio of this camera crew rather than the film audio beacuse it's a little more raw. You can tell that it was filmed from the crowd, or maybe on one of those tall cranes they had. Just great music. Again - excuse the audio and video - I know it sucks!
0:03 Little Bird - Jerry Jeff Walker (Lead)
4:43 Redneck Mother - Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Bob Livingston
11:16 Charlie Dunn - Jerry Jeff Walker (Lead)
15:20 London Homesick Blues - Gary P. Nunn (Lead
20:54 Insulin Announcement - Tim O’Connor
22:38 Sangria Wine (Incomplete) - Jerry Jeff Walker (Lead)

Thanks for finding and sharing these! Whatever the quality, it's much better than not having it.
Great fake-out intro to Charlie Dunn.
God bless your heart for uploading this country gold

sound quality is fantastic, glad we have it thanks yall
I guess London Homesick Blues is on the vídeo from Willie Nelson´s Picnic 74, so this must be the complete (?) parte of Jerry Jeff and the Lost Gonzos on that day, thanks a lot for sharing
I was 22, Jerry Jeff was the One of the reason I moved down to Austin from Wisconsin, I wanted to see more of him. I was at the picnic, but went back to Wisco shortly after this, it was just tooo hot. But I got to see my hero. Ray on the tail of a whale
I was looking for this a couple of months ago -- so glad you posted it. Thank you! JJW forever
Where did you get this there’s no way
@@chrisguzman5295 in the deepest depths of the earth loool.
@@VintageWillie I’m obsessed with Hendrix and willies bootlegs and I have a Willie Nelson 4th of July picnic 1974 dvd that’s pretty old from Europe or Australia one of the 2 but I had to use a region unlocked dvd player to watch it but I didn’t think more professionally recorded stuff was out there
@@chrisguzman5295 I’ll set the scene for ya. At that specific picnic you’re talking about they had 2 filming crews: 1 for the dvd you’re talking about, and 1 for the “Midnight Special” which was a TV show back then. This is unused footage as they recorded every act but only picked a few for the movie and tv episode.
This is heart 😢wrenching
I had forgot about the crane.
The infamous crane😂
