Major props to the ONLY beatboxer. Man that must've been nerve wrecking. Also, great job on putting this together! I can only imagine how much work it took to perfect the harmonies with all these people. And to sound really very well! WOW!!! I'm very envious cuz here in Japan we also have some form of a cappella but it's not as fun.
Everyone's organised into about 7 choirs from memory by their audition and then the piece was written as 1 part for each choir, each choir at least 2 parts. It was very fun but we worked on it for about 2 hours every night for the whole 14 days of NCS.
I was in this, and it was a thrill to be a part of. I was standing behind a taller person though, so you can't see me. Gondwana Choral School was such an experience for me, and I can't wait to go back again next year!
You are very fortunate to be a part of something so uplifting and demonstrating unity of purpose. The lead- in starting with the clapping setting the rhythm is magnetic indeed. It looks like FUN !!!
@Grantelbart yeah the bass 2 section was pretty small, most of the basses were bass 1, so we weren’t really heard that much throughout it, except for the start.
Thomas Azpeitia if u mean the third when they all singing different songs then it’s the cup song from the movie (not originally just made popular by it!)
Me and my class tried to do just the simple cup song together and we couldn’t get the timing right Just imagining trying to do it with this many people gives me a migraine
But maybe that's cause no everyone is interested in music and they don't put effort and neither interest, so that can be the reason, also my class is useless for chorus things and that made want to cry ;")
This was such an amazing adventure for me! One of the best choirs I have been a part of. I'm the short guy singing wrong at 3:27, haha. Hopefully no one can hear that. I want to give a big thanks to all the beautiful people I met, and the boy that helped me realize my homosexuality.
I can feel the energy, the power from this. I know it's just through my headphones, and it is hard to feel the energy through this for any songs. But this one just reached out and touched me even though it's just a video. I can't even imagine what it would feel like being there in a massive, open room to hold, and be heard from real voices, no speakers, no amplifiers, just pure voices. This is incredible, and music really brings the world together. No matter who you are, music will let you step back and realize that we are all people.
x2, this is literally my 300-400 time watching this, I especially wanna know how the white kid next to the black guy at the front (I think its the only black man in the whole thing lol) is doing now, like, what is he doing with his life. I ONLY NEED HIS NAME. is that asking too much? :///
I literally screamed when i heard this i want to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love singing it is my favorite thing to do is sing and i love pitch perfect. WOW your voices AMAZING!
It's really a dream of mine to sing in such a huge choir! 😍 I've only sang in small choirs of less than 20 people, 40 was the maximum. I feel like it wasn't the whole experience you can get by singing in a choir.
I live in europe and I somehow feel like music doesn't get cherrished like this. I would have died for this to take place in my school. Being able to share your passion with people just as interested and talented. this can really change anyone's life...Imagine being part of this.... a whole dream I'll might get to fulfil someday..
This is music similar to S African music. The tone, melody and unity are near spot on. This choir was spot on. Joyful and authentic to the music sung. Great performance by such a young, but enthusiastic crowd.
A-MAZE-ING!!! This sounds incredible and all the members of this choir sound perfect together. Not only is Pitch Perfect one of my all time favourite movies, I also love listening to choirs and hearing both things combined is incredible. Can't wait to hear more of this group. Just like another person in the comments said: This deserves a much more clicks. A million wouldn't be enough if it were for me. Thanks for singing this!

if music is not fun to make especial acappella where your work with peoples together than the sound would not reach the souls of the audience ?!

we also had name tags
