What a savage episode. We see Rick like we've never seen him before. Necessary, to save his family - especially Carl, his son. That "You're my brother" from Rick to Daryl, warms my heart every time. That look on Daryl face after it was said tells me that he was waiting for something like that from Rick, because we all know he felt the same way a long time ago.
Good stuff, Ladies. Storm eye-balling the camera cracks me up.
I’m shocked not one of those creeps said claimed when they grabbed Rick or michonne or Carl

When Rick said Daryl being back with them was everything and then called him his brother makes me cry every time time I see that scene! They are so awesome together
Rick’s arc this season has been amazing It’s all been about him trying to suppress the brutality within himself in order to steer Carl down the right path That’s why he stepped down as leader and threw all his energy into farming He even stopped carrying his gun on him And then everything he’s built starts to unravel The prison falls and Rick sees that Carl never will be the kid he wants him to be And then the ultimate realization that Rick has failed to protect his son from the brutality of the world he’s forced to rip a mans throat out with his teeth to stop Carl being raped Incredible writing.
Rick brought out his savage with that Claimer group when he bit Joe’s throat you don’t mess with his boy I love the scene where he and Daryl are talking about all that happened afterwards and Rick told him you’re my brother.
The Hershel flashbacks was to show the birth of Farmer Rick (as fans called him) The rest of the episode was showing the death of Farmer Rick and the rebirth of the Warrior.
Fun Fact:
When Rick was cleaning the blood from his face the rag got stuck on the blood around his mouth and pulled out clumps of his beard.
Andrew Lincoln is such a good actor that he carried on through the pain to finish the scene without reshoots.

Rick calling Daryl his brother still gives me goosebumps Daryl deserves a good brother.
When Rick suddenly knocked that plate out the woman’s hand he saw the orange backpack Glenn’s riot gear being worn and Daryl’s poncho and the watch he knew something was up.
In another version of the show Rick says ”They’re f*cking with the wrong people” instead of screwing
Yes that version makes it hit harder. More like Ricks group is the threat and those people are gonna die.
I agree, using the F-word lends a sense of realism in that scene. I think AMC now allows for use of certain words in episodes, the F-word being one of them. Imagine if they had allowed it in this season-finale episode, it's all everyone would have talked about!
They must have made two slightly different versions when they put it on DVD and blu-ray. In the copy I have on DVD, Rick actually said, "They're fuckin' with the wrong people!".

Ugh, Gareth 🤢 As much as I've disliked other antagonists, he's by far the absolute worst for me, I can't even stand to hear his voice. At one point I've had to mute when he was on or just skip ahead. It's the attitude, Andrew J. West did a great job but I just automatically despise him in everything else now 😄
And I forgot we got to see Hershel again! Loved those parts, this one's so intense but has so many feels too.
Love the ending.

Comic Comparisons : First the scene with Joe and the Claimers runs a bit different in the comics Daryl isn’t there because he doesn’t exist in the comics Rick Abraham (instead of Michonne) and Carl are ambushed by three random bandits It’s heavily implied that they’re gonna rape Carl to the point they take off most of Carl’s clothes save for his undergarments The rest of the scene goes as in the show Rick rips one of their throats out with his teeth Abraham kills the other and Rick brutality kills the one who was going to rape Carl Undoubtedly the most skin crawling scene in all of TWD.
Second : Terminus doesn’t exist in the comics but the concept of the people do Rick’s line in the comics is They’re fucking with the wrong people but because it’s on TV they had to censor it you can hear Rick say that line on the Blu Ray DVD which features the uncensored version of the Season 4 finale.
Good season next one is good to but shortly after Herschel in real life died

@@StormAkima2 Ah I see, didn’t realise Netflix had that version (it’s not on Netflix here in the UK). I wonder if the Disney+ version has ‘screwing’ or ‘fucking’. I know it conveys the same meaning, it’s just the way the scene builds it up and it falls a little flat by not committing to the line fully.
