There have already been a lot of songs suggestions related to this kangaroo mask. I'll give you other info then.
1) The kangaroo was once a famous singer in Thailand but after he had nose job, eyes job, etc, Most of Thai people don't care much about his singing ability anymore. They just care more about Before&After picture of his. However, He deserved this second chance and he did it!!! I am so happy for him.
2) The piano player who you see unmasked unlike other musicians because he is one of the judges and also a music director for the show.
3) If you've got a chance to watch "Empire state of mind" covered by Octopus ft. Kangaroo, they are close friends but they didn't even recognise each other. Hahaha. The Octopus mask was Miss Universe Thailand years ago.

As you've mentioned in the clip, yes, he is, for me, one of the best R&B singers in Thailand. I'm a big R&B fan, and have been living near Harlem, NYC,too. (I bet you know why I mention the area.)
Apart from his incredibly charming voice, I think this guy's got a very very smooth and unique R&B groove when he sings (even Thai songs). And that's what I started to like about his singing since 12 years ago!
His name is Peck Palitchoke ("Peck").
If you have time, please check out other great performances of this kangaroo guy from this tv program (which I like) :
- "How am I supposed to live without you" (Not quite R&B, but for me he nailed it the most in this song throughout the program.);
- "One last cry" (since he's a big fan of Brian Mcknight, he could sing this song so well - but still, I think no one could sing it as good as Mcknight does. haha);
- "Happy" - Kangaroo Mask ft. Durian Mask ( this is such a great, entertaining collab of these two guys. I really enjoyed it. )
- "Back at one" (saw you reaction to this one already, though.)

That's the Kangaroo mask. His name is Palitchoke AKA Palit or Peck. He lived in Australia for 7 years when he was young, and that's the reason why he choose to wear the Kangaroo mask. He started his career as a Disney Boy before signing a contract with a music company. His first debut was so famous. But then his fame started to drop and rumors and bias started to raised.
1. Some says he is gay. He has Thalassemia. That seems to be the reason why he's so skinny. And he is quite into fashion. And with all these, people started questioning if he is not straight.
2. He loves diving and jet skiing. Once, he had an accident from jet skiing, so he had to get the nose job. That makes people bullied him of doing plastic surgery.
3. As he lived in Australia for so many years, he doesn't speak a 100% clear Thai. And that's another point that people bullied him of pretending not to speak clearly.
People seems to look over his talent and kind he really is. For me, this is unfair. Anyway, after he's revealed his face on the mask singer, he gained a lot more fans and come back to his fame. But this time it seems to be even more famous comparing from the time in the past.
