Back in the early 1960’s I lived and worked in center city. Ii was an upper Mezzanine bus boy and worked in the lower kitchen at Stouffer’s 15th and Chestnut. My apartment was over in Arch Street across from Rayburn Plaza. I was going to Philadelphia Wireless School for Electronics. I am in my 80’s now and very much retired.thanks so much for this tour and memory.

Great video and I love your narration. Thank you.
However when you went past the bronze statue you forgot to mention that it was the African American, Civil Rights Activist Octavius Catto 19th century educator, baseball player, abolitionist, and civil rights activist who was gunned down at the age of 32.
He was shot and killed on Election Day in October 1871, a day marked with violence throughout the city as many white rioters stormed through black neighborhoods in an attempt to silence the black vote. But now, more than 140 years after his tragic death, he’s making history once more, right outside City Hall for all to remember.

Thanks for bringing back memories. I remember wandering around center city after work at Christmas time. Carols played. Could get roasted chestnuts from vendors. Gazed at the department store windows especially the glorious Wanamakers.
BTW, you said you like to continue learning (so do I) so please take this as a "learning experience." This is about the flags: Cam-er-roon is an African country. Bell-a-ruus is near Russia and I think it was once part of the Soviet Union. The modern art sculpture Kopernic refers to Nicolaus Copernicus who laid the foundations of modern astronomy. www.associationforpublicart.org/artwork/kopernik/#

It's not called a cathedral, it is a "Basilica". Maybe a catholic person can explain this designation. Essentially it's the top catholic church building in the city.
Belarus is pronounced "Bell-A-Ruse". It's a country located near Russia.
