Thank you. For me, ballads are emotional pieces, not technical pieces; that is the main reason I went with a fairly uneven and slower than usual tempo. Glad you liked it!
I really, really liked how you did your coda. I understand it’s presto con fuoco but still Chopin, so sometimes people still want to use that quality of his to tone it down a bit and everything. I personally think that this is the part of the piece where he says, “enough is enough”, and goes into an uncharacteristic fit of fury. You’ve done that very well because I can feel the anger and resentment clearly!
Absolutely amazing, I really felt as though I was dancing the whole time with tempo that you were going 😃. I love 4:29-4:33 how soft it is I've never heard it like that before and it really opened up how beautiful this piece and the interpretations are. Thank you 👍
The Ballades are something special amongst the works of Chopin. This really gives a new dimension to this wonderful piece. I wonder if Frederic would be as amazed with it as we are with his supreme art? What pleasure he has given me over the last 50 years. When I used to tinker at the keys trying to play these pieces it was like walking in the footsteps of a God. What a gift to the world he was.
This was gorgeous. I was enthralled by how peaceful your introduction of the second theme in particular was as well as the final reiteration of that theme. Also you definitely did justice to the coda
Dude, this is incredible! Not only this one, but all of your videos! Seriously, thank you. You create beautiful interpretations and amazing visuals. Please, keep going!!
@@justinl.w9913 Well thank you, I really appreciate the kind words. Hopefully one day we get there! I'm gonna be dropping another couple big-name pieces this year, hopefully more people join :P

Hehe, not quite but after watching that video, the resemblance is uncanny isn’t it?. I just felt like adding it because of how calm it gets after the powerful ending of the previous theme.

Oh hello, flaming piano, how are you?
I really love the tempo. So elegant and the tempo is really telling a story and that’s what ballade means in Chinese.

The way you intensified the bass notes at 9:14 really builds up the tension for the climax of the coda. Well played!
