Moved a 180-ft boom lift from Inyokern, to the port of Oakland.. All the windmills, need tall booms for maintenance.... And the rentals end up staged there. 😅 memorable transport

Who's tripping down the streets of the city, 🙂smiling' at everybody she sees, who's reaching' out to capture a moment, everyone knows it's Windy, and Windy has stormy eyes, That flash at the sound of lies, and Windy has wings to fly, above the clouds, above the clouds ...

Hi Ben, loved your video! We usually travel this way over to Swall from Oakhurst. An interesting spot before you get to Tehachapi, exit at Keen, and you can see the train loop over itself. It's called the Tehachapi Loop for your railroad lovers. Here's some more info on that. We also stop regularly at Tea Donuts off Exit 202. Best donuts anywhere & Chantha is a sweetheart.
The Tehachapi Loop is a 3,779-foot-long (0.72 mi; 1.15 km) spiral,[1] or helix, on the Union Pacific Railroad Mojave Subdivision through Tehachapi Pass, of the Tehachapi Mountains in Kern County, south-central California. The line connects Bakersfield and the San Joaquin Valley to Mojave in the Mojave Desert.
Rising at a steady two-percent grade, the track gains 77 feet (23 m) in elevation and makes a 1,210-foot-diameter (370 m) circle.[1][2] Any train that is more than 3,800 feet (1,200 m) long-about 56 boxcars-PASSES OVER ITSELF going around the loop. At the bottom of the loop, the track passes through Tunnel 9, the ninth tunnel built as the railroad was extended from Bakersfield
Looking forward to your next adventure! Gary & Julia

Trucks are the reason I don't travel I-5; it seems they wait till you are right on them when they cut you off to pass. It really pisses me off to no end.

29:55 Red Rock Canyon has a storied geological history, but one element that affects the present is the Garlock Fault, which runs right through here and is chiefly responsible for the chaotic makeup of the rock formations. Garlock Fault is significant in that it is the only LEFT-lateral strike-slip fault of any size in California, which is opposite of the direction most faults move. Pretty long fault, too. 110 miles long from where it meets the San Andreas Fault over by Gorman all the way out to the southern flank of Death Valley.

I know Truck drivers pass partly out of boredom but I too do not understand why they can't wait 10 or 15 miles for a level or downhill stretch to make their pass, they have no business being in the fast lane when they can't go close to the speed limit. I wish the police would hand out some obstruction of traffic tickets. Inconsiderate truck drivers sometimes make the difference between kind of heavy but still flowing good traffic and a backup and when you are trying to go a long distance thru rural areas backups are very frustrating.

Ben I have to agree with you on Murray Family Farms. It is a MUST stop especially for those Okie Pies. Basically a gourmet version of a Hot Pocket. They make for a great driving snack. Most of the in store items are rediculously marked up in price but a very nice selection of roadtrip snacks. As soon as you said you were taking 58 I said to myself I hope he stops there. 👍
