This makes me laugh because, as a Football historian, If you support a team whose history began in the top two divisions before WW1 and they're still there today it's because they flexed a financial muscle and corporate greed to get there. they just did it 100 years before MK Dons did. Most historians will tell you the same. Fans should draw a line under all this sentimental nonesense now. If the local MK team had been bought instead, they would have made it to League One and played Wimbledon. If Wimbledon had stayed where they were they would probably have gone the same way as Hereford and their phoenix club would still be in the Isthmian League. face it Wimbledon, MK probably did you a favour long term.

@@havershamjoe6782 what do you expect? The entire footballing community is opposed to MK Dons. Typing this from the Melbourne suburb of Seddon, Australia. I was living in Flitwick and working in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, in 2002. A work colleague was a Milton Keynes resident, and Manchester United "supporter". To be fair, he was a good guy, just very uninformed about his local football scene. This was glaringly evident when it became apparent that the local Milton Keynes hockey club had decided to open a football wing. My colleague exclaimed "I'll be going to watch them, it's about time Milton Keynes had its' own club". It was at this point that I brought up the subject of Milton Keynes City. As a player myself in local leagues, I had played as a visiting player at the home grounds of Biggleswade United, Cranfield, Kempston Rovers, Langford etc. so I knew who Milton Keynes City were for a decade or so. My colleague had lived in Milton Keynes nearly his whole life, yet scoffed at the suggestion of going to watch them. I could say that it's quite poetic that such people are now watching a soulless team in a soulless vacuum - why a previously savvy chap like Robbie Neilson would ever want to get involved is beyond me, apart from a salary increase.
Well done from Dublin, Can't believe it's over a decade since I saw AFC play Burgess Hill Town in the lower leagues; 2-0 that night, next step new stadium & then championship football & as always hoping for a run in the cup every season.
It might not be englands biggest game. But I bet that's a great feeling. Proper, loyal fans finally upping their bitter rivals after years of shit, and watching a plastic rip off team, of your won club succeed. Shame they've got no fans to even brag to.... 😂 go on ladsssss
