I loved it when she slapped her mother back, it was sooooo satisfying. Whenever I see these dramas and the mother or mother in law slaps the FL, I always wish they would slap them back. I know some people will say it is disrespectful to hit an elder but as far as I'm concerned respect goes both ways. If you disrespect me don't expect me to respect you just because you are older than me. I always say treat people as you want to be treated, so I treat everyone as I hope to be treated myself and try to be respectful to everyone, not just because someone is older than me. Therefore if someone treats me in a certain way I assume they want to be treated in the same way, so if they slap me I will slap them back just to be respectful.
I agree with you. But in those Asian dramas, the elderly are supposed to worshiped like gods (no matter how wrong, evil or criminal they are) and slapping a mother is a form of insult and has a much stronger implication than in Western countries.
I agree- it’s always satisfying when the FL slaps people back- and it’s so hypocritical how if the FL DOES slap them, they act all offended and outraged that she DARES to slap them!🙄
@@yourboy2310 I understand that, but it doesn't stop some of them hitting elderly people on the street just because they don't have as much money as they do. So they have double standards. If they think the elderly should be worshiped like Gods then that should include every elderly person and not just the wealthy ones.

I love this female lead. I hope she gets more bubbly, naughty and kicking the evil relatives role. It suits her.... Just yesterday I watched her movie where she is all that i want in a female lead, not weak and easily abused and taken advantage of.
Another drama that made me shake my head and go "wth?" I'm kinda getting tired of the story where the leads were married for several years, together, then get divorced, and THEN they fall in love? If you were together for that long and only after the divorce you start noticing things about your ex...*facepalm*...you don't deserve the happy ending. The only part I found mildly entertaining was at the beginning when she left him a report card for his performance the night before. Props!! Thanks

Wake up woman: the evil girl mistreated your grandchild for years, tried to kidnap him and finally tried to murder him. How could the mother possibly ask them to stop the police case? I'm so glad that the ML forced his own mother to move away from them. She's despicable.

Honestly, the biggest hangup for me was that I would never have allowed my child to live in the same space as the ML's awful mother... or even a place she had access to. Not even sure I would allow her supervised visits of my children.

Does anyone know why the ML didn't like the FL when they were married and asked for a divorce? I think that he got away too easily and didn't deserve her love at the end;. He ignored her during the marriage, divorced her and then abandoned her when she got pregnant and stole one child away from her. That was not love, that's selfish and mean.

It's not really clear how the marriage came about but this marriage was definitely NOT a love match since the fl revealed that the ML never touched her. The fl basically told the ml that in order to get a divorce that he HAD to sleep with her. As a woman why the hell would you even want to lower yourself in such a way to beg a man to sleep with you who couldn't be bothered to touch you before? She should have just divorced him and left with her dignity.

The more I watch these Chinese dramas, or Asian ones, if we go on a more general level, the more it reminds me of historical romantic novels from the West, if we go back about 300 years, until, in some cases, the mid-20th century. All those clichés were common and real. The daughter had to marry as a virgin, she could be kicked out of the house if she became pregnant without being married, or forced to marry, even if she had been abused, or sent to distant relatives until she had the child, to hide the shame. Her boyfriend had to ask the bride's parents for permission to marry, not her, marriages were arranged, dowries were given, there were marriages of convenience, especially in the aristocracy, or between "well-off" families. There have been cases where a woman was locked up as "crazy" for disobeying her family.

My God, so touching! He treated her like she was the entrance floor that everyone can step on, he kidnapped her just born child and never looked back, he kept a grudge for so many years against her and he never punished his assistant. She’s been through hell for six years and ten months, alone, struggling with everything by herself, but in the end, just because he did what he supposed to do from the beginning, she forgive him! Pffff! Scriptwriters, you shouldn’t promote such bullsh*t anymore.
Acting was all really good, especially the villain mothers, both of them, and the ML. The silent kid played brilliantly.

The assistant is very funny
I so love this drama. I love the FL's feistiness when dealing with her family. The hospital scene when her mama ordered her to fix her sister's leg and all the scenes with the ex-mother-in-law. It's that, "I don't give a s--t" attituded. The husband seems to like this new side of her as well.

I haven't actually finished this yet, but what? We heard him on the phone with his assistant saying the child was his and the FL deserved to lose him for pissing him off. Those were his own words. It was the assistant that felt sympathy for the FL and tried to talk the ML out of it because it was too cruel.@@mollierogers7427 He didn't know that she had a second baby (thankfully or he definitely would've stolen that baby as well). Unless there is a massive re-write that contradicts what we already saw happen, the ML is a POS for kidnapping the child and forcing the FL to grieve for a baby that didn't die all because his male ego was wounded.
@@mollierogers7427 he did know,he asked his assistant to forcefully take the first child. If he knew second baby's existence he would forcefully take him as well. He said himself he wanted to teach her a lesson/punish her after they slept together. That is evil. He couldn't even provide safe environment and upbringing for the first child either. Child couldn't even talk and being abused. It is beyond cruel, evil to break the bond between mother and the baby.

It was strange that the Fl's mother-in-law blamed her for fertility problems even after she came back with a twin son. If the Ml had been more proactive in trying to have a child before the Fl accused him of male dysfunction, there would not have been a problem and divorced. It was shameful that one of the Fl's twins was taken at birth and that she was told he died. Glad that despite the Ml's mother and the evil girl's attempts to keep the Ml and Fl apart they united and where happy with their twins. WW.
