I don’t know why you broke all of purple on your own. I think you needed to take out their 10 troop bonus and left some of the fighting to magenta. Purple not getting the full kill on red was your saving grace and it bought you time.
Totally in favour of posting losses to the main channel. Knowing you win gives a sense of catharsis sure but that'd even sweeter if there's genuine uncertainty when you appear to be losing.
