The problem is developer greed, whatever the figure is, 100k or 1 million, thats what the studio makes every time they release a new premium, that is the only reason the developer keeps the game alive, purely parasitic relationship with its community, bleeding players of cash for a short term competitive advantage
I still think there's a solid game under the hood, just really rushed decisions with no clear communication or acceptance of feedback. Cool that they're finally adding another of my favorite maps but there's a lot that needs addressing. As for things they could monetize, make more 3D skins instead of full on premiums, something around the 800-1000 gold mark would be reasonable enough without introducing something that could make aspects of the games balance more strained than it already is.
I wish we had more skins to choose. With PC bringing in tank accessories, it's becoming more apparent how aesthically bland this game is becoming. At this point in this in the current generation console life cycle, along with what the last gen console was capable of, I'm thinking that a lot of "under the hood" aspects of the game are becoming too outdated. But that seems to be the story for a lot of these online games.
@@amomentarygenius The sad thing is that the current gen isn't getting much more time to fully tap into the power they have so soon could be a question of working across three console gens
Yes, it is. First, it has two modes. WW2 is similar to PC, but it has flame thrower and rocked firing tanks. With other differences. Cold War mode has tanks from 1955 up to 2014 and consists of Eras, not tiers. This is the mode I play predominantly. Era 1 is Post-War, and you can get the FV4005 very easily in this mode. Era 2 is Escalation period of the Cold War and has Atgm capable tanks and T-72s, Era 3 should be Detente, but there are a couple of recent tanks in this mode. Here you can get an Abrams, Leopard 2 and Challeger 2. Cold Wars' defining feature is Tru Vision. I.e. you can see a tank across the map. No more needing tanks to be detected to be visible. This being Wargaming product don't expect perfection or reasonable prices.
@@amomentarygenius Thanks for info! Sounds pretty interesting! Those are pretty major differences indeed. Truer words are rarely spoken. WG prices are very much unreasonable.
With the brand new to Console, Winterfest starting next week, now would be a very interesting time to try out the game. Also, if pvp is filled with too many op tanks, there is co-op mode where a team of real players against a team of all bots. Not gonna lie, Era 2 and Tiers 8-10 have o.p. premium tank problems. But Wargaming certainly made money this year. 😮💨
