I remember the origin video(s) of the initial rice cooking incident, oh how time flies. "Cooking rice" is such a perfect metaphor for describing "interesting" games with ~8 sec moves.
I think the Rice Cook was playing a prearranged game with a friend (they are both from India) and the Queen sac was a prearranged handicap because of the difference in their rating.
A guy that cheated against him said as an excuse for taking too long to play an obvious move that he took too long cause he was "turning on his rice cooker"
Just FYI: I play on lichess in 1400-1500 range 3-10 min games, and the main line of Englund confuses people A LOT. Seems like everybody knows how to respond to it, but they mess it up like 75% of time, in most cases you get at least an equal position, and sometimes you of course just win.
What about Rook to h1 at 34:43? Then pawn takes g7 and you can add more pieces to the battery? Black didn't really have a way to counterattack? Upd after watching the analysis. Had a nice idea, didn't think it through well enough
Will you do a video about all the expressions like knights on the rim are dim, knights on f8 no mate, etc.? I love your games and your attitude - you're a lot of fun!
Greetings from England . Astonishing how the game went from complex to a simple winning position in a matter of a few moves following one error from your opponent. You make it look so easy
I really enjoy your videos, especially how you don't disparage your opponents on your elo climbs. Any tips on how to handle being frustrated with yourself for losing a bunch or for reaching a plateau?
Yes indeed, Stockfish is a very sophisticated cheating system designed to controll the masses. You have accidently stumbled on the notorious intentions of the developers and therefore must me... well let's just say.. "taken care of". 😎
For once i had seen a check mate in 4 im so amazed i was right, was screaming in the game about the one with the took that you found at 45min, but sambo its hard to scan when playing oneself 😄
You mention often before making a move as a last check to "scan for tactics" that you might be making yourself vulnerable to by proceeding with the move. Can you speak more about that? Is there a mental checklist that you go through to try to observe tactics? Any other heuristics you can share to help seeing tactics before becoming a victim to it? Thanks!
35:12 ??? Maybe conclusion of "mhmmh" or whatever was not so good, and it seems to me you have a better way to win just saving this pawn and try to move it further in a line H..?
This last game illustrates well the fact that if you want to think about GM, you need to be at the 2600+ level on the Internet. Access to chess knowledge is so easy today that the average IM knows all the popular openings by heart for a dozen moves ahead, plus all the typical theoretical endings. In addition, he practices tactics with a computer and keeps up to date with gambit trivia. Making a GM these days is an extreme challenge.
Finally a 2+++ elo player plays 10 min games! And not those blitz rubbish. You need to think, and viewers need to see what moved and what options were available. That blitz sh!t is not good for both sides.
At 1:56:52 you decided on a move (Nxd3), then used 46 seconds to think of a follow-on move. IMO you should have just made the move and then did your thinking on his time.
Yeh can relate to accuracy thing even on my 1400 1500 level (rapid)you can quite often see 80/85acc from one or both players . I mean... what i need to improve... 90/95acc is crazy high level of chess
Why not start by attempting to become a FIDE Titled player? NM is below CM, which is only a candidate master - which is basically a strong club-level recreational player.
Your game with Destiny21 earlier you didn't see where you could have put the king in check with your bishop. Then you would have taken the knight sacrificing your bishop. But you would have passed a pawn, and probably made a queen. Either having two queens, or Destiny losing her queen. Without the knight attack, and sacrificing your bishop. You at least would still havegood field position.not putting the king in check with yourbishopwas a mistake.
So I saw my appointment was cooking rice streamed 3 hours ago and my brain read it steamed 3 hours ago. Haha. Unfortunately I know what cooking rice means. Off to watch the video now
No one can conquer you or ban you without your permission... Achieving GM title is a goal for NM but your efforts can make even higher than GM... One day..
As long as..a person has the will to fight.. the game is not over yet... When you die.. then it can be called over in some way... But some people continuing to live among us for centuries or hundreds of years even after they died... Do you know who I am talking about?
I never understand why people want to cheat as it doesn’t prove anything to anyone 🤷🏻♂️the fact this one got to 2100 before being caught shows how bad the anti cheat system is
It might not necessarily be the system that is bad. Not all chess players know how to recognize cheaters and report them. And I would imagine automatically monotoring all active games and running all the complicated algorithms invoved would demand way too much processing to be a practical solution.
once a suspected cheater's coach sent email to Nelson that the player he suspected spent a long time for an immediate follow-up move of a sac was because he was cooking rice. normal players would have played quickly after the sac.
imagine this guy was on the heels of some deep chess mafia ish! just stubble in on some CheckGate stuff LOL!!! Part of the Pawnzi scheme, man! All part of the Pawnzi scheme. He couldn't win.
With the greatest possible respect, because I'm a big fan, why wait until this arbitrary 2500? I understand if it's a train up, but really, why wait? If you don't make 2500 rapid will you not go for GM? I hear you down talking yourself for missing engine moves. Nonsense. You can do it!
Rice cooking begins 1:09:35 🍚
I remember the origin video(s) of the initial rice cooking incident, oh how time flies. "Cooking rice" is such a perfect metaphor for describing "interesting" games with ~8 sec moves.
Does anyone know - did the original rice cooker cheater’s account get banned?
@@Peterkringle No, he wasn't banned.

Not even his professor could save him

Yes, he got banned, but on the bright side I expect his rice turned out quite fluffy and tasty. ☺
@@paulbrennan4163I hope so!
That's also pretty funny! 😅
Tuned in for some chess and ran into a cooking show. Nice recipe he's got there.
One part stock, one part fish, all the rice you need.
Some of the most entertaining chess ever. Watching the cooker play his friend was edge of the seat stuff
I think both accounts are his...

1:24:27 you should’ve hit us with the “90 a lot accuracy, well you know the procedure” 😂😂😂
No he was not a good sport. We report, we block, and then we review the game.
Hahaha. Kramnik turned himself into an S tier meme.
My new plan, I will join a cooking-class to improve my chess skills.
😂
Master forking, you will young jedi!@SG32_Chess_Player
Just buy a rice cooker, that seems to help.
Rice cooking can only take you so far. I want to be more allround, I dont just want to play engine moves.
43:50 I actually noticed that Qh7 was an option, although I wasn't at all sure it was the best move. Good game!
3:24 being 1500 is the halfway point from reaching 3000 😮😮
I wish I'd been able to watch this live. I was on the stream during the first game and who knew it was going to get to rice cooker-land.
I thought he was talking about a real rice cooker at first 😆
1:33:50 - some of the rice cookers are fast, but this one is slow 🤣
Damn I'm getting hungry! Hurry up rice cooker!
That rice cooking was some good content 😂
Pretty new to the stream. Very entertaining, but why do you call cheating "rice cooking"? 😂
A guy that cheated against him said as an excuse for taking too long to play an obvious move that he took too long cause he was "turning on his rice cooker"
Excellent content. Thanks for sharing.

The resulting rice refund has put Nelsi back over 2300
Trying to play some games while traveling, lost 4 out of 5 due to time out disconnections 😢 I’ll just watch you play 😅
@4:35, black takes a pawn at e4 with the knight is a good move?
can you do a best of rice games please!
At 45:18 with black to move doesn't Qd7 hold???

1:18:22 moment of realisation
You can do it nelson!
i see the mate in four. playing chess puzzle really helping me

do you keep the points that you gained or lost to the chef after the rice cooker was found out?
Master Nelson before you play you gotta say “Roll the windows up if it’s smoke we want all of it” 🐕
I keep imagining a chessvibes viewer accusing a cheater of being a rice cooker, then getting banned themselves for racist comments
That's Aman's undefeated opening and you lost with it, very suspicious
Just re watched this stream - seems Stockfish makes no allowance for time worries 😂 , that's machines for you !!!

"This is better than playing me" =)))
1:30:08 - "this is good stuff" :))
In the first game the opponent put up a great fight!!
You had mate in one with the bishop!

i have googled "cooking rice in chess" and no answer comes up. what does "cooking rice" mean???
So? I'm often dropping a deuce while I'm playing.
Love your videos ❤
1:27:43 ... The rice cooker has done a Botez gambit and sacked the Queen on move 4 hahahahahahaha are they still going to win???
Your explanations are very helpful. if your opponent is cheating it does not change the quality of your games.
Really disheartening to see people cheating in all.kind of crooked ways. This world is not for good people?
Cheating is so obvious, especially when they auto resign, move, auto resign, then 10 points down miraraculously come back. REPORT THEM!!
