I didn't realize how much Ben has taught. I really enjoy his Numberphile episodes and happened upon this podcast today. Very glad I did, this was excellent.

Every time I listen to your podcasts I always get the notion to cry. Everyone seems to have been inspired by something or someone, and I never had that. Which is why I became a big nobody.

First time listening to the Numberphile podcast and I love it! Although, maybe I just really love Ben Sparks. I'd love to see more of him on the channel.

I think Ben and Tim should form a duo called Geo-Ge-Bros!

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing your life story, Ben. It's great that you've been able to have job stability AND the flexibility to pursue your own educational and mathematical interests.

My favourite quote from my identical twin friends about their mother's birthday... "One pregnancy, one card".

Had anyone tried recovering the audio from the waveform animation on this video?

Last thing I ever expected in a maths podcast - a cappella Del Amitri!

I know one thing that is even more crazy then identical twins - identical triplets! It happened I have such kids, they are 1 y.o. now and it is very interesting to raise them!

Is it common across the world for there to be a specific job for marking/grading assignments and exams? As far as I'm aware, across the US, teachers grade every single assignment and exam outside of standardized tests. That's sometimes the majority of a teacher's working time.

Why does the Mandelbrot set "start" at 1/4 on the real number line?

Once I knew he has a twin I had to rewatch the BBC show "Magic Numbers Mysterious World of Maths" just to make sure it was him and not his brother! xD

He should make a music video with his brother, they could dress the same and he could pantomime to his brothers guitar playing track, and then they stick him as just one of the random frame duplicates and see if anyone notices. Lol!

My polymath psych professor told me they use the same part of the brain, so I guess it makes sense.

What makes 1/25.4 special? It's the conversion from inches to mm, and I'd love your take on it.

I had a brother who was 16 months younger than me. And we got very annoyed with each other and we certainly did best with majorpolitical boundaries between us . There's not much I wouldn't do to get him back.
If Ben was Happy Tim, did that make Tim Grumpy Ben?
There was a pair of twins in my college at about the same as me. It took five years for me to notice.
That is a fantastic photo! I think you should frame a copy and send it to Pres. Clinton.
