Thank you so very much for posting this video! Me and some buddies hiked this trail and camped for a few nights (we camped right on the riverbank because no one else was there when we went) and I am planning on doing it again this year. I have been trying to find a good (family-friendly) video of the hike to (hopefully) get my 2 kids excited for the trip.... and I think this video will do the trick! Ps: how was taking your dog on this hike? I plan on taking my sog with us, and it will be his first hike (he had camped multiple times, just no hiking yet)
Chris, this was a lot of fun to watch! Glad to see a family out on the trails - I'm looking to backpack the Eagle Rock Loop next year, and TH-cam recommended your video. Your drone footage is spectacular!
Thank you so much for the kind words. That area over there is so beautiful you want be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back. There’s a place I’m wanting to explore on top of the Winding stairs trail that I think will be interesting and offer some great views from the top. Let me know how your trip turns out. Oh be sure to checkout Gatewood Browns video he did over there as well. He’s got a lot of beautiful footage.
I think it was around September. It’s a great place to hike. I’m actually wanting to cross the river and hike up the mountain on the other side. Thanks for watching my videos.
There’s a lot of families with little children that hike this trail. So as far as doable for a first timer , yes. Scenery is nice. The swim holes are beautiful and refreshing at the winding stairs.
Dude, good on you for taking your family out on an epic trip like that. I love the Eagle Rock Loop. Thanks for sharing! - Doc

Holy cow. You guys were hauling some massive loads. Looks like you had a great trip.
Yes we were lol. First time hiking and learned a lot about weight lol. Will definitely pack lighter next time.
How crowded was it? The parking lot sure was packed.
The parking was crowded. Not sure if it’s like that during the week. We went on the weekend.
Awesome! What time of year were you there to catch all the pretty tree color?

Would you recommend this to first time hikers?
