My car is hesitating while driving, would that also be the fuel pump? It shifts fine so I know its not the transmission but while I'm at a steady speed or after im stopped at the light my car will jerk and hesitate and ill have to push that gas more for it to stop hesitating.

It can also be worn out spark plugs, had the same issue on my Fiesta 1.4 from 2005. I bought 4 new spark plugs and changed them out, it drove a lot smoother afterwards, and also got a steady idle in neutral 🙂

You don't need to change the fuel filter on the darts they are none serviceable you just will have to wait until the pump goes out (which might never happen throughout the life of the car) then you change it because it come in one assemble

My 2013 fiesta se sputters like hell when climbing hills at high speed; lose power and vibrates
Get worse when there's more passengers on the car.
After some research and forum posting, I'm assuming its lacking fuel pressure.
Am i going the right way lol?

I think my problem is due to old fuel. The car has been seating in a dealer's place for quite some time before I got it. I used 98 for in the car for 2 tanks (they say good fuel washes your fuel rails) and then switched back to 87, no problem till now. Have had 3 long road trips, all fine!
Also, it took me a while to get used to 110 hp car to be honest. You just have to keed using 4.5k+ revs... Some times it's just slow... especially climbing...
@@yfam4yfam431 also yes, the fuel pump and filter is in one unit. Ford claims that they should out last the vehicle so no maintance interval it seems.
Have you changed the spark plugs even the coil pack if thats ok then id be looking at a fuel injector issue. If thats ok then a compression test on all valves. Goodluck. 👍

crlp3r the car wasn't starting because it wasn't getting any fuel because the pump weren't working
Dullah Gosohard I might have the same problem. After a longer stop let s say 8 hours I have to turn the key 5 6 seconds to have it start. How did you identified the pump as the problem? Is there a sensor fault or you have to do a pressure test measurement?
crlp3r try do a pressure test when the problem start a s see if that's the problem
crlp3r: what was the problem with you? Was it the fuel pump? I have a similair problem. only problem for 1st start. Then it runs fines without a problem.
