I’m not ready for my kids to be this age yet. As a mama with trauma and knowing the stuff that happened at sleepovers to not just me but most of my friends I don’t know if I’ll allow it. And I hate that I’m gonna be that mom but I just don’t know how to push past those fear of all the dangers that come with that.
The pressure is real. My 8 year is getting invited to sleepover at a family I've only meet a couple of times. There is a stepfather and grandfather living in the house.....I don't feel comfortable with my child sleeping in a house with a friend of a few months and adult strangers. But I'm the crazy one apparently!

I have two children 1 and 4 and we already discussed no sleepovers. So we're going to be extra lenient on our kids having sleepovers at our house if they are allowed. Snacks, movies, whatever we can to make them fun to make up for them not being able to do sleepovers at other peoples houses. Even family just to make it a hard and consistent rule. Any trouble I ever got into when I was a kid was always at a sleepover. Frankly my children will never be at anyone's home without me at any length of time that I don't know very very well.

None of that’s happening until they are 18 and an adult making their own decisions. You do realize they make stuff for kids that is formulated for kids so it doesn’t hurt them and it gets them in the routine and teaches them about skin care which is so important and shouldn’t have an age limit. Isn’t like she’s in a tanning bed or getting her lashes done. Smh people will complain about anything ! She’s literally washing her face and putting moisturizer on it! Calm down. It won’t hurt her or anyone else .
