Shunji Iwai should have continued this story. we have seen how Alice and Hana meet (H&A Satsujin Jiken 2015). I now want to see 18/20 years after they grow up. I like watching movies with Aoi Yu like "All about lily Chou-chou" and "Wife of The Spy".

I was looking for those Kitkat commercials that Iwai-san made before the movie and that. I think he made at least 4 of them that was posted on YT many moons ago but it was taken out a week after it was posted due to copyright. I hope anyone if they had a copy on those commercials kindly post it somehow. Those 4 commercials had a theme for 4 seasons. Besides Iwai as a director, it also stars Yu Aoi and Anne Suzuki in their respective characters. Its been years i've been looking for this, hope someone would kindly posted it.
I thought she finally felt free to express herself...she was a bit closed off and uncomfortable in past auditions...even in this audition (at the beginning)...im glad they allowed her to...her persistence and her need to do it right helped her out..the music was just the cherry on top of the cake..inspiring scene for anyone
@@HalfBloodOtter most films arent deep at all...very few filmakers actually think about such deep things when they make a film...all the peeps on the internet come up with detailed reasoning behind even the most obscure hint in a movie..filmakers be like "uh yeah..sure that's what I was goin for"
Marcel Weber this is the original story. The anime was based on the version of Ostuichi which is first released as a short novel and it was inspired by this movie. And because Ostuichi is famous for thriller novels so yeah it’s more interesting but the original version was great anw. It’s cute

At least for me it was, the "murder" subplot was a more funny/engaging and the girls felt better characterized.
