We were at Paradise beach in April, and the food and drinks were great, service was ok, but their beach is rocky under the water making it difficult to get in and out! Nachi and Mr Sanchos both have better beaches! RCL is more sit back and watch, Carnival is more participation!
Agreed! The beaches at nachi are much nicer to walk into! We did see a lot of big rocks at paradise! I don’t think you can go wrong at either of those places, they’re all super similar and so good! 😊 Carnival is definitely a participation ship! Everyone’s involved and social! We loved it!
We went to PB a few years ago on the Mardi Gras, and we are fixing to head back there again this March...in fact, that's about the only excursion my 20yr old daughter wants to take on the entire cruise. PB is awesome!!!

We (well Kala) likes it because there’s not a lot of reasons or opportunities to get all fancy here in Ottawa so she likes to dress up for these nights! We usually use Viator- anytime we have an excursion we post the link in the video description 🫶🏼

For Nassau I’d say you’re good, it can be a bit sketchy at times, but because you’re staying so close to port and going to Senior Frogs you’re probably good! Just keep your wits about you after those drinks haha!

I was glad to see what the inflatables were at Paradise Beach. We are going in October with our 13 year old daughter. Not sure she would be able to climb those…hopefully they have easier ones! Great video!
The kids we saw climbing them didn’t seem to have the same issues as Ryan 🤣 I think it was harder because he had the GoPro plus he’s mid 30’s now haha so not as spry as he once was!! 🙊 I think the kids will love it! Plus they’ll be super tired afterwards!
I steam everything before I go and try to roll my stuff that wrinkles, then I leave them in the bathroom immediately when I get onboard and I find the shower steam helps release any other wrinkles I keep everything hanging in the closet too. If something is super wrinkly you can use a hair straightener to iron it as well :)
Great day. Nice to see such fun coverage here. My dad taught me to put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in my ear to dry that trapped water out. Works for me, my nephew and (duh) my dad! Do they allow you to specify the alcohol brand in your drinks?
I am going to have to try that trick!! All those old “wives tale” remedy’s always seem to work don’t they! My Nonnas cure for a headache or migraine was sliced potatoes on your head- starchy ones! Not sure why but it works even on my friends with chronic headaches! That’s a great question, I don’t remember asking for any particular kind of alcohol which makes me think of you want something more premium you have to ask or potentially pay more!
So glad you found us!! Honestly there’s a ton of veggie options on board it’s so great. It’s also great that they get what they want too! I don’t cook meat at home so vacation is a great treat for Ryan haha!
@@ryanandkalaI was happy with Carnival's veggie options this time. Royal is better when it comes to vegetarian options in my opinion. I think we went on the Jubilee the week before you. We went on the March 9th cruise... You guys are awesome. You got a new subbies!

The beach was a paradise but the water was HELL. Walking into the water on jagged rocks and coral is almost impossible. I cut my knee and foot in several places. Going back to Nocchi next time.
We're sailing this Saturday, so entertaining myself while I wait re-watching..we are going to Nachi this time. Sorry to hear you got hurt on them too. I broke my toe last time I was there! We sure love Nachi though, best of the big three for us. SO EXCITED!

Yeah the cab should've cost the rate that was posted on the sign at the port. We just did this last month, but I don't remember the exact rate off the top of my head.

What's funny is that when we went they tried to put 2 of us is in a van and we immediately said, no we'd wait for a car so we wouldn't be charged for a van but they said, no problem we'll just charge you for the car price. so it seems it goes both ways some times. Glad you guys had a great time :)
I believe it was $65 per person, plus we paid $12 each for the activities pass for the kayaks and paddle boards etc That $65 included food and drinks. You can check their website too and rent cabanas and even upgrade your beverage package to a higher one too
Thanks for sharing. We are doing this cruise in Sept. Which did you prefer...Paradise Beach Club or Nachi Cocom in Cozumel? We cant decide which one to do. Help! Lol
It’s so hard because we absolutely love Nachi, but we really enjoyed paradise! Nachi is a bit quieter and calmer, and paradise has a bit more of a vibe, so it depends what you’re looking for. You really can’t go wrong either way!
We actually had a poor experience last time there. Had been once before and it was fine, but the service was pretty awful for us in February. Still not a bad day by any means, but of the big three in Cozumel, we rate Nachi #1, Sancho's #2 and Paradise #3. It's funny though how each of those beach clubs has a very different vibe and what suits us might not be someone else's jam. Hopefully our poor service was just a one off. Actually, most of the cab drivers will ask if you have a reservation to those clubs before you get in the car because they know if they're full that day or not. They're almost always full. You FOR SURE need to reserve ahead as early as you can. Good tip there. Also, DO be careful around the toys in the water and pay attention like you did to what staff tell you about rocks. Broke my toe there two years ago just doing a really hard kick to get on my back and finding a rock the hard way. Made the rest of my cruise a little challenging for sure! Definitely bring your water shoes.
Do you have to choose your time dining in order to get the Italian and Mexican restaurants complimentary? Or can you choose a timed seating and still eat at one of those restaurants one night?
I’m not sure if you can go to both your main dining room and a restaurant in one night What we did was we went on the app said we were at the restaurant and it gave us like a waiting time and informed us when our table was ready
We were able to choose our chairs! We wanted them by the pool and thankfully we were there early so we had some good selection!! Chairs come with your reservation! The only thing that costs more is a cabana 😊
We didn’t do any of the specialty restaurants on this ship. Everywhere we ate was included in the cruise fare! It’s amazing! 🤩 I think they charge a small fee (like $8) if you go a 2nd time otherwise it’s free 😁
I am planning to go to Paradise beach on a cruise and trying to decide if I should get the fun pass for my kids. This was the perfect video, thanks Ryan! I have a few questions, were you able to stand in the water by the inflatables? Was there a smaller water slide? Do they provide life vests for non-swimmers? Thanks! 👍
Oh 100% they will have a great time! Depends how old the kids are, but the entrance of the beach is stand-able. They do offer life vests as well. Ryan thinks there was a smaller slide, we looked at their website and they have a few photos of the water area and inflatables, so maybe take a peek! Have a great time!
On board the ship or at paradise beach? On board the ship your prepaid gratuity is already added to your daily bill, but you can add extra to dinners, drinks etc if you’re very happy with the service. You can also bring some cash for room stewards and other on board staff as well. At paradise beach they have a tip option on the bill at the end. I think between 15-25% is customary if you enjoyed the service. You could also likely bring cash here too and tip separately. Tips are always a personal thing based on how you felt about the service you received.
hey guys! was it easy to find transportation to and from the cruise ship to the resort? we will be in cozumel next month and we are considering booking this excursion but not sure how easy/pricey it will be to get to and from. thanks!!
Great question, I can't remember the amount but we were really happy with the service. If I remember correctly, he gave us a recommended amount based on what you ordered but it was like 30% or something so we went a bit lower.

Didn’t like paradise beach. They overload the place with too many people. You depend too much on the waiters for drinks as there’s no pool bar. Nachi Cocom is above and beyond.
We love Nachi so much!! We did like that they only let in max 100 people per day. The vibes were great at paradise the day we went but I can imagine it gets super packed during busier times!

I think Royal definitely brought their fun A game on utopia!! They were rivalling carnival for sure! It’s hard to say one is better than the other! We like aspects of both! But I’ll say Royal really stepped it up on this ship for sure I know that’s not the answer you wanted I’m sorry hahahaha

We were able to choose our chairs! We wanted them by the pool and thankfully we were there early so we had some good selection!!

Which go pro do you use? I just got the 10 for snorkelling, and I'm nervous to not put a case on it because apparently it doesn't need it?

I am planning to go to Paradise beach on a cruise and trying to decide if I should get the fun pass for my kids. This was the perfect video, thanks Ryan! I have a few questions, were you able to stand in the water by the inflatables? Was there a smaller water slide? Do they provide life vests for non-swimmers? Thanks! 👍
Oh 100% they will have a great time! Depends how old the kids are, but the entrance of the beach is stand-able. They do offer life vests as well. Ryan thinks there was a smaller slide, we looked at their website and they have a few photos of the water area and inflatables, so maybe take a peek!

On board the ship or at paradise beach?
On board the ship your prepaid gratuity is already added to your daily bill, but you can add extra to dinners, drinks etc if you’re very happy with the service. You can also bring some cash for room stewards and other on board staff as well.
At paradise beach they have a tip option on the bill at the end. I think between 15-25% is customary if you enjoyed the service.
You could also likely bring cash here too and tip separately.
Tips are always a personal thing based on how you felt about the service you received.
hey guys! was it easy to find transportation to and from the cruise ship to the resort? we will be in cozumel next month and we are considering booking this excursion but not sure how easy/pricey it will be to get to and from. thanks!!
It was super easy to get a cab! There’s a massive cab stand! Just make sure you don’t get swindled on the price like we did haha
Paradise Beach is our favorite place to go in Cozumel.

did you upgrade the liqour to premium (30 dollars each in your party) if so, would it be worth the extra cost
We did not, we felt we were ok with the regular package. We didn’t feel like we missed out on anything

We took a taxi, it wasn’t too far maybe a 10 min drive
I am a dude and I have to wear ear plugs. Cuz water will stay and mess stuff up for couple days nahhh lol!
Isn’t it the worst??? Like the smallest amount of water wreaks such havoc on my ears it’s awful!

How much did you tip at paradise beach?
Great question, I can't remember the amount but we were really happy with the service. If I remember correctly, he gave us a recommended amount based on what you ordered but it was like 30% or something so we went a bit lower.

Didn’t like paradise beach. They overload the place with too many people. You depend too much on the waiters for drinks as there’s no pool bar. Nachi Cocom is above and beyond.
We love Nachi so much!! We did like that they only let in max 100 people per day.
The vibes were great at paradise the day we went but I can imagine it gets super packed during busier times!

I think Royal definitely brought their fun A game on utopia!! They were rivalling carnival for sure! It’s hard to say one is better than the other! We like aspects of both! But I’ll say Royal really stepped it up on this ship for sure
