I have an older mid/small ryobi fan that I bought to keep in my car with my electronic equipment. It can plug in or 18v. Love it! it has been with me for almost 2 years. ever since i had a bunch of camera batteries die in my hot car a couple summers ago from the heat in the car. I freeze gallon jugs of water, then have the fan blow on that in the cargo space and it keeps everyone nice and cool and 1 3ah battery will run all day (6 hours) on low.
We rebuilt our deck over Labor Day weekend and the heat index was over 100 degrees. We could not have done it without the EGO misting fan. It was like having outdoor air conditioning almost. Unbelievable fan. It kept all 4 of us cool and misted at the same time without have to move the fan much. Also, one 7.5 amp hour battery lasted about 6 hours on high with no breaks. We would have to refill the 5 gallon bucket every 1.5 hours or so, but we could have used a bigger bucket or an empty cooler or anything really if we didn’t want to refill so often. This fan is the best $300 I have ever spent.
I look at these as a battery powered back-up in case of black out in my apartment, so having them run on AC power normally, and then the battery when needed is perfect for me.
I agree. I would love to see this with an AC input. The issue is with the battery and charger included, you are looking at $700! That's a chunk of change for a floor fan for the patio!
New fan of this channel. Thanks for keeping things real informative and cool at the same time. Look forward to more content that just blows others away.
I have (4) of the M18 fans, (2) M12 fans, and that large RYE-OBI not REE-OBI fan. The handle on the M12 fans are awesome. I was doing another 200A upgrade the other day and attached to a natural gas pipe 2 feet behind my head. It was schweet, schweet cool breeze....
got the old good dual power dewalt and am i popular, got the mister kit on super sale during winter at Lowe's, makes any fan a mister (NOT misses) water from pail, hose, whatever
I got the ego fan for Father's Day, and it's hands down the best fan in the entire house. No portable fan will come close to the power that the ego fan puts out
Thanks for making a video actually covering devices in a tiered list and their airflow. There's so many cheap fans on Amazon with built in batteries that all look the same but I could never gauge if they are generic garbage or if they put out a lot of air.
That mister at the end needs to be more water controllable like the fan than a flipping timer. I gives ample water. There's no problem on that end. Where it lacks is subtleness. I'd buy a smaller version of my hypothetical model if one ever gets made. Maybe if I run into a bunch of money I'll invent one.
Hi thanks I'm a subscriber.. Question please... Is there a slightly smaller version of the eco fan, the best last fan shown ? I really like the eco fan but it's very bulky for me. I like misting, plug in/portable, maybe oscillation, maybe power bank phone charging, prefer portable. Im looking for one of the best quality fans similar to the Kobalt blue fan quality and Eco last best fan quality. Can you recommend a few high quality ones for me ? Thank you. Anybody knowledgeable please reply soon.
I have had 3 ridgid fans and they blow good but eventually quit working and can't be easily disassembled for maintenance like regular fans can be. Those usb c powered ones are really interesting.
Honeywell HTF090B Turbo on the Go Personal Fan: This fan is designed for personal use and is ideal for traveling. It features a foldable design, adjustable head, and operates quietly while providing a decent amount of airflow.
I have 2 of the small Ryobi fans. They are great price if you already have the batteries. Also have the M18, DeWalt, and Rigid 20v Fans. The Ridgid is by far the best, DeWalt second (I have the dual voltage), and the M18 is third. The 120v adapter kills the M18, had to print an adapter to hold the wall wart.
Absolutely love my Flex fan? It's only 8.5" blade, but it concentrates the airflow straight out, not in the typical tapered out way? I use it everyday, all day, even right now. It's plug into AC, so I don't need over-priced batteries? Just plug it into my power brick to use it outside the garage. It literally blows away my 20 inch pedestal fan, so I stopped using it? Couldn't be happier with a fan?
Watched plenty of videos on the EGO fan but none of them seem to tell you that you have to buy the battery with retails for about $180 and the charger which retails for about $180 separately totally almost $700 for the fan, charger and battery. No wonder I have seen these fans at store marked returned.
There are times and places that you need a fan, and there's barely enough room for you let alone anything else. And it's hot as 3rd level of hell, and a fan blowing on you could keep the sweat out of your eyes long enough to get the job done.
OPOLAR Portable Fan: This fan is highly rated for its compact size, strong airflow, and long battery life. It's rechargeable, making it perfect for outdoor activities or when you're on the go.

I drive forklift for a Masonary crew and I use small ryobi fan in the cab and it really helps a lot

$550 bare unit in the UK lol
THIS SHOULD HAVE 20 MILLION VIEWS.
BIG THANKS 💪🏽✌🏽
Clint. The COOLest dude with the most FANS on TH-cam. Surprised you don't have a million subs by now!
I thought the video blows.
Lol, youtube must hate me brother, but yes.... I may have a bit to many fans 🤣🤣👊
Vance ate all the subs
Thanks for reviewing these rotating blades. Time saver.
that Ego fan made me MOIIISSSSTTTT.
Bahahahaha 🤣👊
Whoever you are. I'm sad we're not friends irl.
I don’t think you can say that on TH-cam
I'm glad I watched this whole video because I had no idea about this EGO fan. I'm getting me one!
It's freaking awesome brother 🤣👊👊😎
I am a fan of the old Dewalt portable that can also get plugged into AC power. Carry that thing everywhere in the spring and summer.
Idk why dewalt took the cord function away
@@MrEuph714 so you can buy more batteries.

I have 2 of the small ryobi, one of the medium ones and the air cannon. Great for horse shows for all concerned, even the horse is happy.
I'd buy the Ego in a heartbeat, only if it had an AC input? Great job, sir.
I agree. I would love to see this with an AC input. The issue is with the battery and charger included, you are looking at $700! That's a chunk of change for a floor fan for the patio!
@@MattBrandon but if you've got at least 1 other ego tool it's pretty rad!
I think they should make an adapter
@@djdan1and….. they need to make it available for much cheaper!
If you've got a 5 amp hour battery you're good to go no worries. If you've got a bunch of batteries or even better

Ego fan is pretty cool, but not for $279….. I’ll pass
@@christopherengle8490 and that's just for the fan NO BATTERY..lol..and the batteries are very pricey. I want one but that's pretty pricey.
I just ordered me one of those sweet sweet ego fans! I'm going to cool down in the summer and make snow in the winter with that bad boy!
Haha, that's a good idea 😆👊👊

Sweet! Im going to get one for the cabin of my sail boat and for camping. WOW ego!
Man T.R.Z I again was blown away with your review 👊✌️👍
🤣🤣🤣👊
Its been between 38 and 40°c here in Australia 🥵 (102-105F) I've been looking for a good outdoor fan
This fan is awesome! It is the perfect fan for a baseball dugout!

The mini ryobi is amazing!! Atleast for small indoor areas lol
You should compare the dewalt vs the milwaukee
The skil fan is nice because it can be run off of any power inverter. Even if you had a makita battery with the usb attachment. Great value.
I like your style of videos !
😎😎👊👊👊
I need one for camping to keep my dog from barking at every single noise haha
Ego and flex are taking over the tool industry in my opinion
They are definitely doing well
I have 2 mid ryobi 1 small and the big cannon but that ego one looks great as well i’ll be looking for a special soon💪🏽💪🏽
I have had 3 ridgid fans and they blow good but eventually quit working and can't be easily disassembled for maintenance like regular fans can be. Those usb c powered ones are really interesting.
Man if that ego was also able to be corded id buy it now. Thats a sweet fan.

Do all use bat rays?
Any way to plug ego fan into wall outlet? I have looked can't find a adapter. Thanks
It’s FANtastic you have lots of fans and I’m a fan of the TRZ. Smeeesh that like button. 👀👉🏼 👍🏽

Appreciate the feedback 1977. I don't care for the adapters 😪
I want that ryobi bucket fan that mist. :)
Can the EGO be used with Saltwater? Or does it need to be freshwater?
We specialize in yard misting systems, and I believe there may be valuable collaboration opportunities between us.

DOyou know if you can open the flex fans to clean the blades.
@LARULES100 I'll find a way when the "time comes."
I just bought a RYOBI WHISPER fan charging battery now.
I have 4 EGO batteries so I guess I need this damn thing!
🤣🤣🤣👊

I can’t find any Skil 20V batteries and there aren’t any links for them. Are they compatible with 40V batteries that aren’t made by Skil?
Also, would they take Skil 40V batteries?
I need one with the bat rays 😅
Surprised you didnt have the 18" Ridgid fan to complete the sets.
I hear Vance is putting this info out before you Clinton... Whaaaaat?!
When's RYOBI Days 2023? And what are their offerings?
Lol the video went to add just as you said get ready
Freaking youtube somehow know exactly where to put those damn things 🙄🤣

Whaaaaat this is a sweet sweeet video ask Vance at vegan cookies good about fans 😂
Boom goes the dynamite
Don 🤣🤣👊
How long will a bucket of water last?
1.5 hours continuous on continuous mist setting
No Milwaukee?
They didn't have anything new. These are "newer" fans
@@ToolReviewZone 10-4 I was wondering lol
Would love to see a misting fan from Milwaukee 😎👊💪
BATT REY 😮😂 🇬🇧
40v versus 18v Ryobi has nothing to do with run time. That would be measured in aH. 40v, however, is more powerful

I have the ego, fan is great, lasts long as hell and mist feature is great when its brutal out
I hope whoever at Ryobi decided a power brick was a good idea is no longer with Ryobi... WTaF, it's not a laptop.
