So glad I’m searching and finding so much info about my wacked brain with GOOD content on TH-cam. I was diagnosed with ADHD,Dyslexia,Dyscalculia as a child ....OCD, in adulthood but out of the 4 never understood or truly believed that ADHD was more than an attention span issue or much like others without the disorder even believed it was truly a ‘disorder’ ...come to realize only now in my 40s being a mother of a 15 year old boy and had such a disastrous life to say the least ..that I needed help for something other than depression/ anxiety that has ruled my life for my entire adolescence and young adulthood pushing on into my 40s .ADHD is at the very core of my problems and ADHD should not simply be ...poo-pooed as a minor learning disability. It is at the very core of my ‘depression/anxiety’ choices or should I say lack of choices because of how my emotions and logic or lack there of! was hindered because of ADHD. I sheepishly mentioned to my Dr. ...could adults still suffer from ADHD even though they were told that they would grow out of it??? ...response from my dr.....you don’t grow out of it...you may learn some copping skills. ...me...if by coping you mean ...hiding skills then I’m your Girl. Long story short,I’m medicated. Took 4 different meds to help with what I know now as...emotional dissregulation but still haven’t found the correct dose or combo whatever it takes to help with concentration or motivation but I’m so happy to have peace of mind for the 1st time in my life and to have the ‘chatter’...’channel surfing’ in my brain and the absolute hatred of myself quieted. If nothing else this has been a blessing and I will take it. I can FINALLY sleep at night.

Omg this is so good! I’m super thankful for this talk as I’ve been trying to suss out what’s the ADHD and what is the OCD. Also what he said about the specificity as well as the working memory and checking issues with ADHD is so spot on. These exact things have been one of the things that I’ve been struggling to differentiate!

Thanks Eric this is brilliant information for those of us with BFRB’s and ADHD. Roberto is one of only a handful of specialists that specialises in this. He is GOLD!

When ppl use ‘I’m so ocd’ as an expression it just replaces anal-retentive of the past, or more closely resembles P OCD as in the personality disorder.

Shubham Kumar having ADHD does mean we can’t do things. We just got to figure out what works for each of us. ❤️

Try watching it in sections. Your computer or phone probably knows where you paused. I personally am watching 2,314 videos like this.

everyone's ADHD.is different, I can listen to podcasts and audiobooks for hours, I used to obsessively read physical books, but I haven't finished a real book or even an ebook in years! but I still strive to do so. I know i can always do better. download this podcast if you can and go for a walk, do house chores, etc
