All dumb strategy, secret idols, over plotting, everything calculated, and hardly any of the show was about battling the elements of their environment. Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites for sure.

Jeff Probst wants to stay in Fiiji and he would have influence over this decision ;) You could argue CBS could spend those savings on the cost of changing locations but that adds a layer of complexity such as transportation logistics and negotiating new deals with owners of the new destination.

I’ll say what Luke from Idoled Out said, bring back the auction and make it clear that there’s no advantages, only food. Or if they ARE going to have advantages, just mix them in with the food instead of putting them up for bidding.
Early seasons were so great and authentic.
Too many idols and advantages in these recent seasons, I think there should only be around 2-4 idols per season
