@webelongtogether5809 I don't really understand your reply, as I don't think you know or grasped my situation, but whatever it is you are feeling towards yours, your feelings are valid. He last literally ghosted me flat last minute before our planned date. I didn't think Id hear from him again but recently did*... I'd love love to make it work with him, but unfortunately, he keeps putting spanners in the works and unnecessary disrespect* (lightly said). I think you're right. I just need to move on & learn to let go... but if he could only value that there is someone willing to grow with him, that would of been willing to invest all the way emotionally in him. As for me I don't easily let myself fall in love but when I do my heart goes all in. Been in the past hurt severely by a narcissistic relationship that nearly rendered me flat... I did alot of work on myself for years, and staying single too. Although I can see him as the guy I could be with for the rest of my life... I guess inner beauty cannot be entirely overcome by outer beauty. I should of listened to outside views on it, but I'm the kind of person that would try follow their heart despite what anyone says if I feel something may have potential or feels somewhat right. Ngl he isn't 100% right and there needs to be more of an honest and consistent effort from his side, too, and not just leaving me to do all the work and bending backwards but thats also aside the point. He's just started giving me the silant treatment, so with grace in my heart of heart, even though I'm still hopeful, I need to let go. It's gonna hurt, but this time it's going to be easier as I've had experience with practising exceptance and letting go. (Still not perfect, tbf). But it seems like it's going to be another barren patch of healing and being alone, getting older, and giving up with grace on nearly all my dreams so far. Anyhow, peaceout.

Same. Can't be with him, loved him enough to let him go, 15yrs later, no contact, but I found out his life has been full. I know he wouldn't have had what he has with me, I couldn't give him what was most important so I'm grateful his life has been full without me. I still love him, but even now, he must never know. I don't want him back I'm finally able to move forward knowing I made the right decision.
