Could camel milk fight climate change in Kenya?

  • In 2017 Kenya declared drought a national disaster and earlier this year announced it had allocated 2 billion shillings, about $20 million, to respond.
    Extreme weather has pushed wandering nomads to bank on camels - and their milk - as a drought-safe investment with Kenya now the world's second largest producer of camel milk after neighbouring Somalia.
    Camels are highly adapted to climate change, while their milk has been dubbed "white gold" by food experts who say it could help conquer malnutrition.

    This is a well-rounded story about camel drink. I wish this could have been extended to Somalia. I wish to get in touch with Piers Simpkin. Thanks

    Short answer nothing can stop climate change ot will change regardless of what we do. Well unless you have a Terra forming device that can keep it constant. Back to reality Climate change isn't a new concept and calling the bad aspects of climate change just climate change is not a good way of discribiing it it should at least be called climate decline.

    it's such a shame they post process the milk, traditionally we drink raw milk and it should stay that way for maximum benefit

    • @asandax6
      @asandax6 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As humans age they tend to lose the ability to digest milk like other mammals so processing ot helps with that. Also processing makes the milk last longer if not processed it will spoil in a day during a hot day.

      @@asandax6 erm no actually processing incl homogenisation makes it harder the digest not easier. As it denatured enzymes and alters the emulsion. Also it doest spoil it curdles. But I get what you mean
