- Hey everyone! We finally took our engagement photos 🙇🏻♀️ .. but as of the release of this video... still haven't sent out our save the dates yet 🥸
This was definitely the most fun I've had during this whole process - being able to set up an engagement shoot was awesome. I wanted something a little different than what I've seen a lot of so we found an old Mercedes and a white suit and made it happen.

Love that you’re keeping environmentally friendly options in mind for your save the dates! Another option that I’m looking into for my wedding invitations is seed paper. It’s recycled paper that has seeds in them so after the wedding people can actually plant the invitations and something will grow! There’s a localish company in San Diego that I’ve been eyeing and they look really good. I don’t think a photo can be printed on them though if that’s what you were going for
that's a good idea as well! The only thing is, would people actually plant them? But i guess since it is made out of seed if they don't - it's easily compostable.
Congratulations on a wonderful photoshoot. I love that you included your dogs in it as well! Going eco-friendly with the invites/save the dates is so refreshing to see!

I think the scripty text is fine on the greenery. You’ll have additional information on the back I assume that will re-iterate that its a save the date, plus white on green looks real cool. You both look so cool in your engagement photos, when my partner and I had ours, we were so nervous and I’m amazed that our photographer was able to make us look alright. I also got my save the dates from minted. I chose to do postcard size because postcard stamps are cheaper and you don’t need to get an envelope so it saves on paper too. i actually didn’t order enough though so will make sure to over order on my wedding invitations.
wait... postage is priced differently for postcards?! I had no idea
@@AjaDang yup! the stamps are $0.40 whereas normal mail is $0.53, it's not that significant in price, saved me like $20 though

I've never been a bridesmaid nor have I ever gone to a bach party but all I hear is complaints from those who participate... which is a bummer.
@@AjaDang been one and luckily it wasn’t too bad but it definitely CAN get there especially when you have varying financial circumstances. I just really like your vibe and how you see something from all perspectives and how reflective you are within yourself. It’s beautiful and real and sets such an example. Yaaassssss I totally agree! I love the idea of a solo bachelorette. I’m doing my own solorette ❤️ but we are doing a pre wedding party with both my friends and his friends. Just a little partying hehe

I support the solo Bach and am personally wary of spending $$ on other bachelorettes, but I don’t love you sharing that he is mad about him spending on his friend’s! That’s his choice and if his friend saw this he might feel bad :( I feel like that’s a little private to share here. I love your channel and the transparency but sometimes the lines get blurry! Just my opinion
I felt the same way. Not because he's not justified to feel upset about how much he had to spend, but I wonder if he voiced his unhappiness to the groom or trip organizer. I know the trend for bachelor/ette parties these days are to go all out, but I feel like its partially the guests' responsibility to be able to put a limit on how much they can participate and set expectations. I initially didn't want a bachelorette due to cost concern and was convinced into it by my friends who reassured me that they didn't feel pressured to spend beyond their means and were already honest with my MOH about their budget. Having those convos with them made me realize that while it was great of me to check, I had to trust them to advocate for themselves. I love your choice to do a solo trip, but we shouldn't shame other brides/grooms for choosing differently that if their friends are (seemingly) going along with it
