I used to avoid these videos when they showed up on my feed. Wow, what a mistake. This man is the most authentic human I’ve heard speak. Regardless of what the topic is, I laugh, I cry, and I relate. I have learned a lot from his wisdom.
I’m crying so much right now. Unconditional love is an endless pool of Ram Dass. Buddhism meets narcotic recovery = making love with Dass neuroticism. Just living life. Drowning in life. Drowning in Dass. Amén
Glad the Dass of Ram found me back in December. How I never heard of him before or didn’t know his life til Dec. 2023. I want to say I never got to meet him, but we are all within him and he is within all of us. Dass, Watt, Jung walked into a bar….. imagine that conversation. Haha
He also appeared to me, after hearing of him for so many years, following the works of Timothy Leary and other of his contemporaries, tended to leave me more into my neurotic mind. Now he's one of the best imaginary playmates one could have, but I think how imaginary could it be if it's helping me to live life better😊
I have a picture of Ram Dass on my desk. At 21:04, right after Ram Dass says, "ahhhh," I spilled my bottle of water and knocked over the pic of Ram Dass. Idk what that means, if anything, but I got a laugh out of the absurdity of it.
Thank you for this beautiful offering 🙏 I’ve heard parts of these lectures. And I find them so impactful, and that the fact that they go deeper each time. My feeling is no matter how many times I listen to these, I take something different each time because I am allowing more and more in as this and life cracks me open
You and i are awarenesses that have chosen to enter into human incarnations in order to go through a series of experiences which we are deigning through which we grow and in the process of growing we awaken out of the illusion which we have created, it’s god in drag. It’s all a kind of projection outwards from the parts of our own being. All these parts of ourselves. It’s about integrating all the parts of ourselves.
Its a great comfort to me knowing that even when I'm not handling life well, I know it... he's "O.Kness" is one good passport to freedom - en I'm glad I've got my book....
I was just looking for a new Ram Dass video!! Thank you so much for this. May you be blessed with good karma through all lifetimes! Om au eem breem Hanumat, shri Ram dootaya Namah.
Truly Sublimely Beautiful Analogy and Humorous stories ❤ Such Blessed talks of Love, Wisdom,Knowledge, Kindness Thoroughly Enjoyable Thank You Ram Dass Namaste 🙏 ❤🌻🌷
I sat in the front row, tried to make a note of EVERYTHING he said. He noticed my desperate efforts. "Don't worry" he said, looking at me. He implied that there was plenty of material, that I wouldn't miss anything. ♥️
It is so good to laugh with you especially tonight in the year of 2024! I am going to get stoned you are my brother and I am free so human and divine. Dance me to the end of love
I could hear this 1000 times😅 it always finds me when I'm thinking lol love and honor you my guy...well shoot and I don't know ya all but I love u too...❤🎉
Of course Alan Watts would be the one to tell Richard he was too attached to emptiness, and under such circumstances! How I would love to have been a fly on that wall!
He's sooooooo funny!!!!!! One of the most perfect human beings who ever walked upon this earth. Truly! Because he never stopped working on himself. He never stopped pursuing freedom. Every moment was a step forward.
There are literally as many paths up the mountain as there are mountains (Beings / "people"). A method might be meditation, or chanting, or fasting; it may be feeding the hungry or feeding your children. It might be riding a motorcycle, or singing, or painting, or CROCHET. Your method is your method: whatever clears your mind and gets you to that Space of "ahhh" {better known as OM} I find folding laundry at the end of the day extremely peaceful. I feel like I'm folding and filing all my experiences of the day. Make everything part of your Spiritual Practice ✨🎶🙏
Ram Das has something to say, but these recordings drive me a little nuts. His audiences, as in this video, are too often packed with acolytes who will laugh at anything he says, whether it's witty or not, or applaud the most insipid clichés. Their responses make me think they're present just to be entertained, and their frequent interruptions are really annoying, especially since Ram Das tends to join in on the superficial frivolity. I have heard Ram Das lecture in other circumstances, and it's a worthwhile experience. I wonder if there's anything in the world of tech that could sweep his recordings and empty them of annoying audience reactions. (Such tech exists for eliminating noise from musical recordings, for instance.)
There is another option: join the crowd. Be Here Now, in the audience, live. It's rather enjoyable 😁 There are also inside jokes that are freakin' hilarious, if you catch the reference 🤷♀️
He lived in poverty and gave away nearly everything he had or could have had. He never hides that he got nearly everything from many different sources and that he’s just sharing it with his storytelling capabilities because he felt called to as he clearly has a talent for it. They had to fundraise to get him a home when he was dying after having a stroke. He certainly did not use it to make mass amounts of money.
Truth does not belong to Carlos C or any one person . Many people have know the truth but few can put it into words . This is not a competition. No call for comparison 🙏

Ha, they probably didn’t talk at all… just gave each other a nod of “knowing they do not know” 😆
Dass spoke about tripping with Watts one night. I don't want to ruin the story. You can find that recording as well.
"Freud was a second chakra aficionado."
LMAO!
Bless you Ram Dass! I needed this laugh today!
I wonder what chakra Carl Jung would be the aficionado of 😂
@baddreams3850 or Alan Watts? He seems like a 6th Chakra guy to me.
I do not think of him as gone, he feels very much present, somewhere and everywhere all at once.
Yeah okay sounds familiar
Where else could he go? 😉
Ram Ram Ram Ram ❤️
God just keeps happening❤
Dass Dass Dass Dass

I love moments like this I only have had a few similar. That feeling of extreme presence of mind and moment almost supernatural
I scrolled down and looked at this comment exactly at that second. I'm not even joking. I think Ram Dass is having too much fun! 🤣
1:05:46 I love this section so much; I grew up around people like this. His line, “Jesus deserves better” brings me such joy 🤣🙌
We at the channel had a good laugh at that too!
Thank you for my new motto: I spy with my inner eye 👁️ 🎉
Admin here (now) - I love that!
Ever since a friend introduced me to the Be Here Now book in the 70’s I never looked back. What a blessing. Namaste 😊

I'm grateful that somebody made the effort to annotate just where ge says what. That's lots of work!
"You're one thought away from where the action is". Good to know.

1:18:20 clip of distinction between choosing to fast and being food insecure
do not be attached to the fruits of your actions
Thanks for uploading this. What year was this recorded in?
I am used to make Clips if fragments I want to remember. Why don't you allow it? Does Ram Das knows about it? He's left all of this for us to share.
He's passed. Netflix actually has a documentary about his last days..check it out..
He passed few years ago. About 2019, if I remember correctly
Dinner with Ram Das.
Is it good to meditate while listening to the lectures?
Just listen to the tantra going through the audience, it's absolutely impeccable
What happend to the chillsteps? Any more coming soon?
hopefully not 🙃
What year was this talk!
Far out 🩷
A little Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy going on here, but who is pulling the strings?
Who is the one asking "who is pulling the strings"? 🙃
Help me
How can I help?
When ram dass explains that we are God in drag people laugh and giggle. They don't believe it

This guy stole his entire philosophy of life from Carlos Castaneda then made a living off it, what a phony
And catholic people from Jesus 😅
