The flying mech units look awesome, having that large leg/tail section actually makes it look like it would be holding a large enough jet engine to keep it in the air.
I absolutely love how the union ships all have the side/rear paddle-wheel motif in their designs. Although the Imperium will likely be the first faction I develop, the Union is likely to be my second.
The paddlewheels are a really iconic look. It will be interesting to see how this range fills out, considering they don't have any sub nations. I'm curious what direction it will take.
The Union with their paddlewheel aesthetic look amazing. These faction videos are a really cool way to learn about the game. I wish I could grab a starter set and find someone to try it with. That's really cool of you all to offer a chance to win one. Have an amazing 2023!
I think the Union most perfectly blends the real world and the dystopian age. Such a fun look into super science, ironclads and manifest destiny nonsense!
The Union seems pretty wacky, but I am particularly in love with the cyclopian flyer with arms. It almost feels like an odd "Shock" factor that looks different from the other models. But even if I wasn't to play this faction, I kinda just want the John Henry one to display. The art for it just looks wonderful... well all of the art is wonderful, but this one caught my eye.
With these mecha's and mecha kaiju's it might be tempting to just for fun do a "Steampunk" battle recreating Pacific Rim lol. This game looks really amazing.
Great looking faction. It is interesting the massive range expansion they are doing while Privateer Press is moving towards a reduced line. Hopefully both will succeed.
I’m a little confused. I thought the Confederates won the Civil War in this timeline. Is this later and the Union turned it around or is it a complete retcon? Given their real world history and problems we still have with a lot of their iconography I was never comfortable with them being a faction.
Complete retcon. Ever since the previous owners sold the Dystopian wars franchise to the current owners, the old lore got discarded for a new one. In this new version, the Union won the Civil war but experienced a national trauma for using advanced weapons on the Confederates. Now calling themselves the Union of American States, they still act like the (Con)Federated States of America of yore but with a dark tinge around what they do as a response to that national trauma. There is a lot of changes in the lore of that franchise, the biggest (in my opinion) is making the Republique of France an actual great power player and not Prussia-Germany's lapdog of the old lore...

Most likely regional or theater differences. East, West, and Gulf fleets to start with.
The new releases that was announced was the USS Mexico.

Love the look of all those paddle wheels, one can never have to many paddle wheels.
Most Glorious Stalinium is No Match for Y e e h a w
Here's hoping for Sturginium Skies Boxset
Same. Need it to build my play group. Union players have a $30 price hike.
love the distinctive look of all the different factions
All these videos you've put up, now i'm looking at my old Britannia and Union fleets in storage.
Union are the next faction I want to break into after I round out my imperium fleet a bit more. A Sturginium Skies set would be perfect for that!
The Union have some very interesting stuff on the horizon some of which intertwines with SUSA so very much looking forward to seeing that.
I absolutely love the paddle wheels. Great idea.
I always enjoy playing some Dystopian Wars! The new miniatures look fantastic
Not sure how I feel about the flyers but the ships and the Tesla inclusion look amazing
A well rounded fleet and the john henry is fantastic. My son loves mecha anything.
Hate how they changed the lore, but new Federal States ships look sick.
I love the paddle wheel design!
That colossus thing is very cool!
Lot to love for this faction, super excited for the upcoming models
Thanks for showing us this great game!
Really like the variety of units to this faction.
I think the Union most perfectly blends the real world and the dystopian age. Such a fun look into super science, ironclads and manifest destiny nonsense!
Hoping to see the maneuverability come more into play this edition over the static gun line that was common last go around.

A very balanced fleet with some good batteries and I like the idea of the influence from Nikolai Tesla

Personally I prefer the old lore with the Federated States of America gave a bit more interesting lore with the difference of how the ore war was won
Seattle slowly reaching for Vancouver to complete the Cascadia Reach
The six-gun ship cannons are glorious flavor.
A great overview sirs.
Looks wise, solid style, wouldn’t mind them at all.
Game and models look awesome!
Dayum! It’s been years of last time I have seen people playing this at the ”game bunker” 😮
Those Pesky Union traitors. Another excellent faction review 👌🏻
You had me at revolver cannons
Super vidéo ! Très intéressante
I have the Constitution set. I do like the Union’s turning circle…
I love the idea of a six shooter Cannon
Tesla sounds a bit like Tony Stark - that definitely gives the Union an edge!
I get the paddlewheel theme, but I wish they had dropped that in this iteration.
looks cool!
Great week.
Nice looking vessel, the look hard to paint the tesla coils
The Union Enterprise class is awesome. I know it is not meant to be a direct copy of CV-6, but it is close. Really, really close.
Why are some of the entries in the ORBAT light blue and other black. I saw this in any ORBAT by now and as far as I know it sn't explained.
I see those flying power suits, and for some reason, I get serious SAMAS from Rifts vibes.
Was not expecting to run in to a Rifts players here.
@@gmradio2436 Have faith in Emperor Prosek.
@@DarthSmirnoff New West, There I only have to worry about Vampires, bandits, and dinosaurs. Not ending up in a lab in Lone Star.
Love IT will be my Faction.
Why must you always be giving me more ideas to buy more stuff
Very thematic
I still prefer the Covenant, but these are a close second.

Is there somewhere one can read up on the general lore of the game, rather than faction specific?
Ever since the complete retcon of the game, there hasn't been a general lore for this yet...
@@theotherohlourdespadua1131 That's unfortunaate. Oh well, thanks for letting me know!
Give me dem paddlewheels
Great video and here for the raffle
Paddle power
Six gun cannons :-) :-)
Zzzzzapp! More power!
How are you commenting 20 hours before release?
@@gmradio2436 Because the article was up on OTT and the video linked (maybe still in private mode at that point)
@@SomeDudeOnTH-cam That explains it. Thanks.
