    Hello, thanks for the tutorial.
How I can solve the issue if the program says "You are using a browser that is not supported by the Google Maps JavaScript API. Please consider changing your browser."?

The interface to Google Maps change ~ 2/2022 SoundPLAN had to change the map service browser that they were using in SoundPLANnoise and SoundPLANessential. To get this fixed you have to update your software with a revision dated after March 2022. That should fix the issue.

Hello sir, My name is Ashish ( PhD scholar). Sir am using a sound Plan. When I clicked on fundamental -connection to OSM & Google maps - alternate lookups, it is saying that google is blocking your IP address. I want to use open street maps. Sir, please give suggestions.

Dear Ashish Kumar Choksey, sorry to hear about your problem. If the Google Maps interface has worked in the past you maybe using an older software version (prior to March 2022). Google Maps made some changes in February 2022 and SoundPLAN had to develop a new interface. and incorporate the changes in a software update. The changes that includes a new online map service are available since March 2022. To download updates - Start the SoundPLAN v8.2Manager - Select the Menu Option Help - Updates & Downloads
In case this a new setup please watch the video above in regards to setting up a Google Account creating a API code and then Enable the following GeoCoding API, Maps Elevation API, Javascript API, Places API

Great video as always. I have a question about building heights. By default SoundPlan give them 6 m height (except very tall buildings). What is a possibility to get real heights?

    • @HansForschner

If you just get building heights of 6 m that means that the OSM server does not have any building heights for that particular area and SoundPLAN will use a default height of 6 m.

@@HansForschner so the only solution is to set them manually "by hand", and one at the time?

@@Desmond_Craine I would use the property explorer to make the change. One strategy is to use to sort the building by foot print... the larger the foot print the taller the building. You can sort the building by area and then set the building height accordingly .... you can apply the same height similar to what you would do in Excel...
Another option is to select buildings in the GDB t in a certain area and the building heights are mostly within the same range ... then use the property explorer to set the height or use the property operaiton and select building height and set it to =xxx (m)
So you have various option ... depends on what works best for you and your project. Sometimes it is easier to set all building the same height and then select the ones that are taller or lower..
