Even now, in 2022, I return to listen to this master-class song. Even now, in 2022, I continue to remember my time playing the Legend of Spyro games, all three. Even now, in 2022... The music still brings tears to my eyes. Fantastic job with the remix. It is truly worthy of such a legendary title.
The Legend of Spyro was my favorite game series of all time. With all the fans out there, I don't understand why they stopped the series, then cancelled the most nostalgic thing that could have been done for the game. I honestly believe that if the movie had come out, then The Legend of Spyro would have continued. I have Skylanders: Giants, and haven't played it since the day I beat it. The game was ok, but it was too much of a kid game for my liking. Plus, they used the portal idea just to get money out of people having to buy a character in order to begin playing. Also in order to get 100% completion, you have to buy a character of each element to unlock things; which all adds up in price. When it came to The Legend of Spyro, I always said, "take my money!", but with the Skylanders franchise, I'm keeping my money.

My only guess as to why the movie was cancelled and why TLoS ended (the ending in Dawn of the Dragon is a really good closure afterall.) was probably because TLoS didn't bring in enough money and Activision most likely saw a chance to go a different way with Spyro which in turn created Skylanders. It saddens me but Spyro may come back this or most likely next year.
I fully relate to your comment. I was SO fascinated by the story & the world in which Spyro existed as a kid, and even to this day I find myself missing it. I can imagine so many more roads that they could take the story, still, despite the "big bad" being destroyed at this point. I would immerse myself into it again in a heartbeat if anything new came out, but with Reforged & Skylanders, I am just not seeing any reason...

I found this remix nearly ten years ago now, and I have been listening to it ever since. This piece of music is now as big of a part of my childhood as the games themselves.
Same Spyro is a huge part of my childhood Ans this remix in particular feels even more powerful now I started listening to it again around summer and autumn 2017 it helped me a great deal with getting schoolwork done and it inspired me many times to keep creating art Its just very inspirational and nostalgic for me

i have had this idea of a new 4th game of the series where the time has passed like 15-20 years and spyro and cynder are grown up and they have four kids each who learn in the game they have an element from each parent. andthe villian in the game can be someone from the old games on the old consoles or some one brand new character but he has to be a necromancer and is planning to bring back all of the worlds evil great generals and he needs the blood of the purple dragon to do it so his minions attacked and captured spyro now its up to the children to save him and ignites the new chronicler helps them along the way. i was thinking since it has four characters it can be co-op and a little more puzzle like along with cool combat and magic stuff
+Zachary Ferguson Honestly, it doesn't sound bad. With some tweaking and adjusting your idea can definitely work. Makes me think of the Zelda game where you have 4 different Link and you can co-op up to 4 of them controlling each elemental Link. Awesome stuff.
I don't want remakes and remasters for every Spyro game, only for the two trilogies. The first trilogy will almost 100% get the remaster or remake. I don't believe the second ever will no matter how much I hope for it. I can only truly hope Spyro is revived so we can get new Spyro games.

Yeah, and what would happen now that Ignitus is the new Chronicler. Or what would happen in the "new world", as Malefore called it, since the Destroyer made it into the volcano. There was also a cut scene after the credits that showed the world in an island-like state, which lead me to believe there would have been another sequel. Yeah, Malefore may be dead, but the Destroyer caused something that could potentially change everything. I pretty much picked the game apart and found sections that are just left hanging. I've probably played the game 50 times and I still see how another game could have risen from this. I wish they would have continued with this series because they could have went so much further than they are now with Skylanders. I bet that the only reason a lot of people bought Skylanders was for the Spyro nostalgia like I did and in the end, they were disappointed.

The gore can also be taken care of with a filter, like other games have provided. Plus, you can't go through the stages of their lives and leave out adulthood, make Ignitus a new Chronicler, and then suddenly quit the series with things left untold. The way they designed Spyro and Cynder is why I don't like Skylanders. They're more kid-like, and to me it was a huge step away from Spyro and his personality. Also the fact that they needed Spyro and Cynder to jump-start the Skylanders series, and brought them further into the background when they realized the massive growth of the game. Skylanders just isn't meant for nostalgia which was the whole reason I wanted Giants.
