RIP Norman you were brilliant! I remember this match so well, you come into the corner and shook your fists at the young Barnsley fans and shouted, "come on lads, we've got this!". We all went nuts and jumped about for about 10 mins :-)
No idea how anyone can say football's better now . And that was a 3rd Division match ... )
Im from other side of Pennines but totally agree with you.
Cant get enough of this sort of footage and Big Match Revisited is a masterstroke
Good side then barnsley part of me growing up fantastic
Martin Tyler always seemed pro BFC in his commentary
They all look 55 years old
Probably less healthier diets, boozing and smoking that was common then.
What a team!!
It was my first season as an owl's fan . I was 9 years old. UTO
“Not a rivalry” pipe down
I was there, aged 16.
It's a corking game of football!! Went to Roger Wilde's testimonial at Stockport ooooh a while ago ..22yrs? He was their physio...then ironically went straight to that dry ski slope in Sheffield for a mad club night...freestylers et Al. 18 fecking quid though. That's memories for ya c.1998
Springett typical copper no loyalty, Ron was much better anyway, and more loyal to that great club Wednesday
Surely a typical pig would've stayed at Swillsborough
Words out me mouth always jealous of how much better ron was
